It finally dawned on me why the crazy witch in Harrenhal looked so familiar. She was Sheila the she wolf in GLOW.
That last scene with Daemon...I can't even be sure it was real and not another crazy dream. His dead wife did show up, after all... Anyway, how dumb is that one guy from the feuding family to use the Targ banners after Daemon basically told him it can't be connected to the Queen?
So we are going to get a bunch of randos riding dragons soon. probably. Does anyone remember who the woman was that Rhaenyra's servant went to see? Someone from season 1?
So, this show is about 2 women fighting for power they want or deserve, and at every step they are getting pushed to the back by men. I mean, that is the history of the world until about 50 years ago, but it feels like HBO is really leaning into the idea of dumb old men being chauvinists. Even the crazy girl was whining to Daemon about it. Maybe that's how Martin wrote the story, idk.
Finally, Cole is such a ****. He is trying to act all remorseful for all his bullsh-t, but nobody gives a crap, and I think that's hilarious.
The women haven't exactly been playing the best game, either. I mean they ***** about being left on the sidelines, but then every time they have a chance to end the war, they puss out. Rhaenys could have burned Team Green and didn't. Alicent could have had Rhaenyra killed at the Sept and didn't. Rhaenyra had basically sat on her hands the whole time. The show seems to be making it like the men are too quick to act, but in reality, it's the women could have ended the war with the least blood spilt, but they are to timid to act.
Cersei would have had all the women killed by now, and would still have time to bed at least three Lannister relatives.
