I was on the floor. Sound was fantastic. Could hear everything so clearly. And the sound on my phone videos are sharp. I could see everything just fine. He had a rotating stage and video screens above

That's great to hear.

The friends I knew that want aren't exactly musically gifted.

I appreciate the high standards of quality on this thread

I went to the George Strait concert at Kyle Field with 6 friends, and we really enjoyed it. We were in Section 129, and we were ecstatic to be a part of a US record-setting crowd of 110,905 people. We took two separate Uber rides to the game and met up in the line, and we walked 2 miles from Kyle Field to our Airbnb place because we knew it would be difficult to get an Uber ride back.

It sounded a lot better than I expected. The rotating stage had speakers in the the corners (stationary, only the stage rotated). I haven't been to too many arena shows. They gave out little led wrist bands that flashed different colors synced with the music. I bet that's not uncommon these days but I liked it.

Taylor Swift did wrist bands that lit up and helped the crowd be part of the show.

It's a thing at big shows now.

That been done by other acts before. I know for sure that Coldplay and Bruno Mars did them years ago.

Got back last night from Vegas and seeing Dead and Co saturday at the Sphere. Holy cow, that place is as advertised and better, coolest thing i've ever experienced. If you're thinking about going, go...

I caught U2 there, at their final show during their residency, and thought it was absolutely amazing. I think they were a perfect band for that venue, and the visuals were jaw dropping.

I've read a lot of comments about the visuals for the Dead shows, which don't seem quite as elaborate, but still are impressive.

The Eagles are next on deck for a residency at the Sphere.

Some of the visuals were absolutely stunning and perfect, especially the "space-y" ones of earth, galaxies, stars, The Pyramids in Egypt looked so real. But yes they definitely had some more cartoony/fun visual that were hit or miss.

I thought a few times during the show that if TOOL ever got a hold of a sphere, they might be able to break it lol. They have had the most impressive visuals i've ever seen at a show outside of the Sphere. They might actually be the perfect band for it

Was lucky to get through the 8,500 people ahead of me and get some 2nd level seats for 9/21. Gonna be great to see the Sphere for the first time, especially for the Eagles.

That was artist presale price. Official Platinum was $1,500+.

Tough for me to grasp Eagles + Sphere = $1k+/each. And that's from someone who spent more than that (unwillingly thanks to wife) on U2.

Eagles just added more dates, if you are wanting to go and haven't pulled trigger yet, i would try and wait. Although stressful, it's inevitable people will need to offload tickets closer to date.

Very nice. The Vampire Weekend show in Houston was great, so much energy. Going to see them again when they hit Austin in October and I am already looking forward to it.

Yeah, it was a blast. We had tickets to the Father of the Bride tour with Haim here in Bend, but it wound up getting cancelled due to Covid.

They had an awesome set list. Their encore was cool since they just took requests and did covers (Sabotage, Smells Like Teen Spirit, and part of Bohemian Rhapsody).

Anybody go to Styx and Foreigner?

How was it?

I did! Styx and Foreigner were awesome but they are both in my wheelhouse. I've seen them both several times and they are always a good time! Foreigner has sooo many hits it's amazing.
maroon barchetta
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I strongly considered it but decided it was not to be this time. I haven't seen Styx since they headlined the Texxas Jamm back in '84(???)

Did see Tommy Shaw open for Rush in the late 80's.

Never have seen Foreigner.
