That's one of the reasons for ending this original run and shifting to a new spin-off. The show started just before a sea change in online streaming, and Paramount wound up without one of its hallmark shows on its own streaming service.TXAG 05 said:
Paramount + doesn't have the rights to stream it. They sold it to Peacock before they created their streaming service.
Criminally underrated post. Great reference.Southlake said:
Very well done. Filming, script, dialog much better without Costner. Never missed him.
Spoiler ahead:
Looks like he has the same role he did in The Big Chill.
Yes, same play as "House of Cards" I mentioned in an earlier post. Both shows start their final run with the death of the main character.T dizl televizl said:
Had this same thought. Maybe they had to audible w Costner off the show?
Honestly having a hard time remembering the details as it feels like it has been so long since last new episodes.
Great summary, exactly why I have continued to watch the show.JCA1 said:
The show has always had enough holes in the plot to ride a spinning horse through. But, man, it is beautifully shot, and it's worth the price of admission for the dialogue of the bunkhouse crew.
Yeah, I much more enjoy the cowboy stuff and the scenery than any of this political crap. And I used to love Beth, but she's so over the top kill-Jamie-focused now, she's just ridiculous.JCA1 said:

Went back and found the last part of the conversation between Jaime and Atwood - it was kinda hard to hear at the time, but ....Straight Talk said:
Is it just me? But didn't Jamie want Beth killed not John?
Yep, it's really old. Also, tired of Sheridan writing parts for himself into shows. He's a horrible actor in his parts in Yellowstone and now he's put himself into season 2 of Lioness. He's so far behind on all these projects he shouldn't be adding to it by putting himself on screen. But his ego has to be going out of control with his current success and given his childhood background.Threetoedcoyote said:The circling horses are a bit tired at this point.Duckhook said:Anonymous Source said:
I'm a little disappointed that Costner wasn't flung off of a circling horse and trampled...since circling horses are a critical part of the show...but what can you do?
My wife and I both groaned "not this again".

What caused the rift between him and the show? Was it a money issue?

Grew up in west Texas… I saw more rattlesnakes in that scene than in my entire time out there, outside of the Swee****er Rattlesnake Roundup.

I'm confused as hell.
What was all that scene in Texas with Beth going down there? Then back at the ranch. No explanation between the jump.
Was that all a flashback? Did I miss something.
Zombie Jon Snow said:
Unless it was a flashback to before. And she was dream remembering it I guess.
But we also had Kaycee and his family fixing up the house they were gonna live in and then suddenly when he returns there it's all done. So I think that was part of the flashback too it just wasn't explained.

Taylor Sheridan is a ******, so I imagine that had a lot to do with it.
So cringey it is absolutely brilliant. I'd say that Yellowstone is the spiritual successor to the cinematic masterpiece Snakes On A Plane.Cromagnum said:

Did anyone else get the feeling that the conversation Beth had with the highway patrol lady and with Rip at the Speak Easy was hinting she was considering moving to Texas?
