Loyd is going to work for Rip at his new place, I think.

If I remember correctly, Lloyd said something about pulling a thread out of the West Yellowstone. And that he wouldn't be a cowboy anywhere else. Then Rip says if he ever needs a place, he's welcome with him and Beth.

I don't remember if the West Yellowstone reference is from earlier in the series or not, but it seemed like he was going to try his own thing or try to remain in the Yellowstone area.

Such lazy ass writing and loose ends.

Jamie's blood is going to be in his house. They are going to question that.
Assassin's get off scott free.
Market Equities grandma nowhere to be seen.
Crazy Indian witch lady not seen in like 3 seasons.
Clara Brewer got a new job with the former governor and never seen again.
What happened to Jamie's son and his crazy baby mama?
Jamie's sex tape never got leaked.
They just left Lloyd hanging.
The collared wolves that were killed a long time ago, nothing done with it ever again.

What about all that pipe in the lake? Chief John Red Corn has to now go and fish all that nice pipe out. This bothers me not because I care about the environment but because that was nice pipe.

Wait, no one got a good chuckle when Rainwater said "My people" gave away the island of Manhattan for what amounted to Dutch play money?

Oh, sorry Taylor Sheridan, I didn't realize you were writing Rainwater to be metaphorically speaking about Indian tribes and they common plights they all shared.

That would be like me saying I share the burdens of working class Californians.

Meanwhile, he and all the other hands get to walk around the rest of their lives with a brand for the ranch they killed for.

Long interesting thread about "Yellowstone" from a real-life rancher. He basically says Sheridan got an awful lot right, and that a lot of what he didn't was just Hollywood trying to make something worth watching.

ETA ... you gotta click through to read because it's a lot of tweets.

tl/dr

His POV is that Sheridan deserves -- at the least -- major kudos for showcasing/promoting Western riding sports and giving indie country artists a very visible platform so they can overcome Nashville's pop bias.

He did refer to Kayce as Jamie several times, though. Good stuff otherwise.

Yeah... Honestly, Beth flew off the handle and got herself killed. She just got lucky that Rip made it there (of course) to save the day.

And if she had it all planned out in advance to make it look like self defense, you don't bring a knife, you use one of his kitchen knives. But, again, this ain't the show for you if you're bothered by details like that.

With Beth, that knife probably has a certain significance to the stabbing.

Probably the one they used to perform her abortion, thus completing the circle of hate and blaming Jamie.

Oh I'm sure it's in another episode, somewhere, maybe 1923 even.

Lol. Well my question was more descriptive but after a 3 day ban and multiple staff edits I had to make it vague

So how many times has Rip coming roaring in with his dually Ram to save the day? For Beth and John both?

I said that earlier. Since they made a point of focusing on that knife when she pulled it out of the gun cabinet, it must come into play in this upcoming season of 1923.

Yeah, the actress, Kelly Reilly, looked pretty emaciated the whole season and it seemed like she mailed a lot of her lines in. Hope she's ok.

So if you go to Google Street View and look at the Chief Joseph Ranch, the filming location for the Dutton Yellowstone Ranch, the view of the main ranch house from the highway is deliberately blurred out.

This seems to silly given the ranch is seen up close on one of the most popular shows on TV. Maybe it was previous owners from before the show stared who requested having the house blurred out.

Nearly all the blurring in Street View is powered by AI, hiding personal information like names, address markers and license plates. That's my guess as to what's happening here...

It appears the knife that killed Jamie was a gift from the Indian chief in exchange for the sheep Dutton gave him in S1:E2

Nah. This is more than faces/license plates. You can contact Google and request them to blur out your entire house from street view.

Finally watched the end of this show.

Man, I dont know why I stayed with it. Started out good, and just became an absolute mess. My wife wouldn't even spend the time to finish it because she thought it was so stupid. (this from a girl who grew up in the country and loves all things western/horses).

I've said it 1000 times, but Sheridan's stories are a mile wide, and an inch deep. As entertaining as some of them start out, they would be so much better if he'd slow down and build the story out a little more. He introduces things to the plot, that seem HUGE, and then are never heard from again. He did it dozens of times throughout this show, and by the end, it just made the story seem ridiculous.

So i am curious. The natives paid Casey "What we paid for it $1.50 an acre" or something like that. Where the hell did John Dutton get over a million dollars in 1883? It never showed him paying the Indians anything

She did. She was the most immoral psychopath by far. I don't find it fitting that Sheridan wrote her ending to be happy with a quiet cowboy's wife in a quaint rural ranch. Her nature won't be content.

I thought of all the characters, Kayce had the most compelling story. The future of the ranch was supposed to be his brother Lee, who got killed off in the first episode. Jaime certainly wasn't going to take his place.

I don't recall the backstory of how he got together with Monica, but there is certainly a Romeo and Juliet element to it. Circumstances force him to come back to the ranch, but all of his father's shenanigans trigger his PTSD and jeopardize his family (maybe the white supremacists could have taken Monica instead?).

He ultimately figures out how to separate himself from the ranch and is able to settle into a quiet life focused on his family.

I'm pretty that's what the government paid the Indians and then deeded it out to who ever claimed it but not 100%. Anyway it was good FU to development and he has $$.

I only started watching because people (women mainly) were worshipping her. I couldn't stand her and wondered why she was so loved. I mean, you can be b**** in a good way, not like that. Plus I couldn't stand her voice.

There are a few scenes that she led that are just bad ass. The one I can think of off the top of my head is where she goes and defends Monica
