I haven't replayed the second game in a while so I can't remember how deep into the game everything happened. If they're remotely patient the second game can easily take up two seasons, maybe even three, but my gut feeling is the show will take three seasons. I just remember the game being way bigger than the first one at the end and needing time to decompress afterward.

In the game he was the father of Dina's baby, and she was pregnant when they went to Seattle. I don't know if they're going to work that angle into the show or just have them be exes. I can't remember how long after Joel is murdered that they make the trip. Perhaps they get back together and they do include that in the show.

So that's not a simple yes/no.

Like many of you I don't remember the second game as well as I did the first when season 1 came out. By then I had played part 1 3-4 times and knew it like the back of my hand.

So I started playing part 2 again last night (have only played it once through previously)- I'm only 90 min in and they've already made 2 episodes out of it. So I agree they have plenty of content to make 2 seasons out of part 2

Man - Neil cooked here. Back then and here now. Think they got the tone perfectly for this episode. Someone mentioned earlier about putting the controller down and walking away for a few days - I was one of those, too. The emotional tug in the first one, coupled with the 7+ year wait for the highly anticipated for TLOU2 (Naughty had to put the finishing bow on Uncharted) and then within the first two hours of the game he does THAT.

Brutal. I remember the game getting flamed harshly. Made people uncomfortable. Wonder what the numbers will look like next week - wonder if HBO will see a dip.

Completely forgot Joel helped Abby escape the mountain horde - but definitely remember the chain scene. I remember feeling disgusted playing Abby in the flashback scene shortly after Jackson golfing.

Awesome episode.

Aside: Have we talked about Ashley Johnson closing out the episode with that acoustic guitar piece? Going to check credits...

The last scene in the episode 4 trailer should be a good one

The therapist even said "she's a liar" when she was talking to Tommy.

Have enjoyed both episodes - they're getting the tone right. Bella growing on me. Really great stuff with the Take on Me scene. Really like Jeffrey Wrights introduction.

I have only watched gameplay up until they reach the TV station shown last night. Beyond this I have seen some of the Ellie/Joel flashbacks and know how the story ends, guess I will get to see some of Abby's backstory soon

this season is only 3 more episodes. I think we are going to get Ellie's days 1-3 in Seattle through this season and then get Abby's Days 1-3 and santa monica in season 3.

That's probably it. Seattle, Isaac, flashbacks. Wrap. They've clearly made changes to personnel this season compared to what was in the game, so curious to see who else may show up in Seattle.

Also, Jeffrey Wright is such a great actor. Chews up scenery like no other, especially on TV.

Jeffrey Wright and Katharine O'Hara have added much needed weight to the cast. Really enjoyed them both so far

We know Jesse shows up in Seattle. He was with Ellie in one of the Season 2 trailers and it was for sure not Jackson in the background.

Wonder if Jesse becomes a surrogate for him AND Tommy and only Jesse goes to Seattle.

Catherine O'Hara has gotten hardly any screen time so far this season. And they've mentioned Eugene more than once. Makes me think we're gonna get a backstory on Eugene at some point, because Ohara was in a lot of press tours

Just watched episode 2. Huge fan of the games.

I found it hilarious when it was implied that Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, with her puny arms and fists, beat Joel to death with her bare hands after she broke the golf club over his knee. Give me a break.

Yet, still somehow more believable than this Ellie seeking revenge.

I think we are going to get an all flashback episode for season 6. Should make the Joel lovers happy.

But then we have only one more episode after that. I think we get to the moment A caps J in the theater and then dark screen and credits for season 2.
