Never say never, but I think it's extremely unlikely the Tolkien estate ever gives permission to film the Silmarillion.
For one thing, it would be like 18 movies long.

Nah, you don't try to adapt the entire
Silmarillion. There are a couple of ways you could do this:
Good: Adapt the Great Tales: Beren and Luthin, The Children of Hurin, & The Fall of Gondolin as standalone yet interconnected movies (Think Phase 1 MCU). Use flashbacks when necessary to provide backstory.
Better: Adapt those same stories on a streaming service, but use the stories and events of the earlier stories to help fill out those main stories with flashbacks and provide context.
Best: Start at some point in the Quenta Silmarillion
after the Noldor have left Valinor, using multiple seasons to the story. I'd pick up the story sometime after men have entered Beleriand, using flashbacks to tell the story of why the Noldor are actually here fighting Morgoth. Go all the way to the voyage of Earendil and the War of Wrath.
What I wouldn't try to do is adapt the first two parts of the Silmarillion. I love the music of the Ainur, but I have no idea how you depict what is going on. Those would have to be extremely unique and stylized. I'm thinking the more esoteric bits of Fantasia.
Though if someone does try to adapt the Ainulindale,
do it like this.Edit: However it is done, I hope we see the epic rap battles of Sauron.
