Promo for tonight says a new hydra rises, and last week they mentioned all hydra finances they tracked were static. If shield can track the finances, why don't they just seize them?

Also, great episode! Evil Ward is so much fun!

Between Simmons coming back and Ward being Ward, this was a really good episode IMO. Ian De Caestecker killed it again this episode IMO. Also, James Hong was a nice touch to the episode as May's dad. Liked the call back to season one with the Asgardian professor. I liked the scene with Ward driving the Jaguar through that building with the Hydra guy hanging on to the hood.

So far this season has kicked off pretty strongly. I'm happy they didn't draw out the search for Simmons and resolved it early on this season so they can show with her having to deal with everything that had happened. I think nest week's episode is going to be a bit of a step back from the last couple of good/great episodes. Still good, but not awesome. Just my two cents there.

Oh and May's ex-husband? I get the impression that Von Strukcer Jr will probably be involved in his demise.

I caught up on the first two episodes earlier today. Solid start to the season. The blue inhuman is a great-looking villain. The show seems like it has a better budget this year, too. There's better lighting and more details in all the scenes. It seemed like everything was always shadowy the first two seasons to save money on sets and makeup.

I wonder if Ward's hydra will be the same hydra we see in civil war, or if that will be a different splinter of the group. I'm assuming they'll be rival factions. It would be interesting to see a hydra-on-hydra war spill into the show.

I wonder if they'll go back to the alien planet, or if the planet changed Simmons. At first, I thought they'd bring back a doppelgnger instead of the real Simmons, which is still possible, I suppose.

Lots of chess pieces on the board this season. I think it's got potential to be the best yet.

Anybody else find themselves staring at Bobbi's mutant mole in the middle of her eyes? Now that I've seen it my eyes always get drawn to it!

Ian's acting is incredible.

Great episode.

sometimes I get annoyed with May's whole badass cold mfer/mother hen juxtaposition, but i think she is finally becoming a comfortable character.

We need more drunk Hunter. The bar scene with the subtitles was the funniest moment in the show, and you still had no idea what they were saying. It felt like the type and quality of humor fitting the films.

interesting. In Avengers 1, he was part of the Council, though the council's faces were kept in the shadows. It was obviously his voice. In winter soldier, he was not a part of the council.

Either his term was up, or the Avengers 1 council was not meant to be taken as "canon" since they were kept in the shadows.

Banks was the immediate thought I had too, but that seems a little too obvious. Decent amount of things happened in the episode. So, do we really think that Andrew is dead or did he find a way out? I'm happy that next week we will get to see what happened to Simmons.

Also, I don't think there is a character in all of tv right now that I care about as much as I care about Fitz. Even when the show was finding its legs early on, Fitz was always enjoyable to watch. Then season 2, he had to regain his consciousness and self esteem. Now, up to this last episode, the love of his life wants to leave again and wants him to help (I'm sure he will be willing to help because he is a stand up guy and hopefully Simmons has a good enough reason). Kudos to Mr. De Caestecker for a phenomenal performance!

Also, what was the exact wording of what Simmons said to Andrew? "You are wrong"? And that was a direct response to "we are all safe."?

That's a pretty good theory. I do not believe for a second that Andrew is dead... I was thinking at the time that maybe he was a lot like "the male version of May's 'The Cavalry'" and he kicked some major ass in that c-store. But this makes more sense than he was a trained killer like May.

That is the other person I was thinking it might be since like you pointed out, Banks was on the subway when Lash attacked in the Hospital. Andrew being Lash would be extremely interesting and brings a whole host of new questions. If he is an Inhuman, why did it seem like he was having an extraordinarily difficult time helping Daisy through her transition? It would seem to me that he could at least identify with her, but I didn't exactly get that impression when he was dealing with her. Strucker junior running out of the corner store seems to imply that Andrew is Lash and transformed, then wrecked shop.

I'm wondering if Lash is a separate personality from Andrew... Transforming not intentionally, but in reaction to certain things like trying to protect his identity or finding an Inhuman that isn't worthy.
