It moves and doesn't open again for X days. They used all their battery to figure out that one shot, then missed. So it's understandable that missing that one shot leads to a give-up.

My whole point was she kept saying over and over that Fitz wouldn't give up looking for her. Then she has her first real sense of defeat and gives up herself. Just completely stops considering Fitz could still find a way, which he did.

This would be my guess too. Fits with the Andrew character, who is assessing which agents are field worthy.
Not sure why he's after Lincoln. Either he considers his unworthy, or maybe he thinks he can use Lincoln to find other Inhumans, since that computer guy is dead.

Also, two questions.

1. If they had a guy on the inside of hydra why didn't they know that kid was there, and why did hunter have to go through all that stuff? Pretty lousy inside job, if you ask me.
2. Did they ever explain the break-in part? Maybe it'll come back up, or maybe it was nothing.

Who was supposed to be inside hydra? Are you talking about the tail Coulson placed on Andrew?

Ah, maybe I misunderstood that part then. Yes, I thought one of the guys in the shop was a spy that the hydra guys thought was on their team.

Plus on AoS or Netflix, I'm really hoping for a Squirrel Girl cameo during some comedic episode. I feel like this show could have more moments of not taking itself too seriously like SG-1 did. I enjoy the comics when they involve some humor beyond simple one-liners from the Stallone and Lundgren. Stuff when Kitty read Illyana a fairy tale using X-characters in the various roles and such.

So... That was a fairly decent revelation at the end of the episode, but looking at the preview Colson clearly has the long game planned out.

Y'all think she knows she's working with Hydra?

I think she definitely does. She keeps talking about how she would do anything to save someone she loved, I think Hydra has leverage on her. Maybe her not really dead husband?

I think she knows as well. I think that Colson had an inkling that she might be tied to Hydra from the get go. Her team was pretty well equipped, and the tech they were using seemed to be derivative of SHIELD's. A possible twist is that the dead husband story I'm thinking is bogus, and that Powers Boothe's character Malick was/is her lover.

I'm not sure what the game plan for Ward is. I'm not sure if Malick wants to make him more of a partner or use him as a tool to get rid of Colson and SHIELD. Part of me wants to say that Malick wants to control him until he has to use Ward if Rosalind is giving him information on SHIELD's activities. I'm thinking that the ATCU is just Hydra by another name, and Banks comes across as a cheaper Rumlow.

Coulson is very emotionally intelligent when it comes to his team, but he makes alarming operational blunders. Remember how easily he let Ward escape? It was so bad I thought it was intentional.

So he may not realize she's working with Hydra. The show has played up his budding romance with her and he hasn't revealed any of his possible suspicions with his team (although that seems par for the course). Honestly the more I think about it the more Coulson doesn't really seem that good at his craft. He's one hell of a manager though.

so now that everyone knows that Andrew is Lash, I fully expect Hunter to say something funny and inappropriate about all the sh*t they gave him last week.

I'm sure that Hunter will be his usually witty, sarcastic self. Also, interesting interaction between him and Bobbi in regards to the hunt for Ward. It kind of gave me the impression that she may not really want to go back to field work and spend more time in the lab after her and May tracking down Strucker Jr. Anyone else get that impression?

Question to the comic book readers, I saw somewhere a theory put out that Rosalind could in fact be [the] Contessa. Is this a possibility?

That's an interesting thought, I guess she could be although she was always Fury's moll. I guess they could be moving her into the modern age by having her couple with Coulson instead.

There is a SHIELD Agent in the comics named Rosalind, but she is a Thor character.

I don't get the appeal of this show and I'm a MCU fanboy. I like both characters, but don't see them carrying their own series. I'd probably give it a chance, but I'm worried it will dilute the MCU brand if they can't even get me excited about it.

I'm starting to think there is no husband. Maybe the initial hunch Coulson had in her home was right, about the baseball bat and furniture.

Good episode, and fun. I like Morse's new batons.

Season 3 has been better than most MCU movies. The Hydra connection is great! Next couple of episodes are going to be insane!
