How long do you want to ignore this user?
How does Lash fight Hive without Hive immediately just mind controlling him? I don't see any Inhuman standing toe to toe with Hive unless Shield comes up with a "vaccine" that stops Hive's mind control. Plus, if anyone gets near Hive, it can just send out the parasites to consume them.

I think there are going to be some great twists and turns in the finale. I can't wait!

I'm thinking we will get that vaccine sooner rather than later. I think Lincoln will likely end up helping to figure out how it will make it work as well. And Hive has said in the past that he can't eat Inhumans IIRC.

Lincoln always says that Inhuman powers aren't random and have purpose, fill a need. Maybe Lash is just the anti-Hive.

Great episode. Didn't expect Kree to come down, I figured they'd try to steal Coulson's blood since he has Kree in his veins too. Season finale is coming up, but I wonder if Hive will be killed already. If he dies, where does the series go next? I guess it would be maintaining all the new Inhumans that will be popping up.
And to that end, wouldn't everybody on the team need to either become Inhuman or die? Seems like those are the two options.

This. He said that they develop powers to essentially maintain balance of the Force. Lash is probably immune to Hive's mind control.

Also, what happened to metal controlling guy? I remember sunglasses man getting killed by Joey. Can't remember the other.

Also, still wish Patton Oswalt was around.

I'm pretty sure you are talking about Joey. After they figured out that Hive could persuade the others, and went through locking down the base, the Secret Warriors basically fragmented and they all went their separate ways. Yo-Yo and Joey both left. Lincoln was locked up. Daisy was revealed as the one that had been infected by Hive.

I think he was asking about Iron Chef America guy.

That's true, they both control metal in different ways. Wasn't the last time we saw him when Hive infected Daisy?

That is my memory. Nothing of him since then.

Oh yeah, good point sorry. I meant the magnetic one.

Wasn't a huge fan of Lash just curing Daisy without and previous explanation that he could do that. That's kinda nitpicky. Hellfire chain makes up for any faults in the episode though!

Initial reaction during the last scene with Mac and Yoyo was fear for Mac, but that has to be a red herring. I still think May is the one to go next week.

Well, I was wrong about Lash. I thought for sure Hive could just turn him. Didn't realize he would channel his inner Son Goku!

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps, there was still a small part of Andrew left inside of Lash.

Looks like the cross will be sort of a hot potato next week. I'm thinking May takes the warhead into space.

Lash should have killed Hive but was still cool to see him take Hive on like it was no big deal.

I was annoyed at how easily Lash was killed. But I liked most everything else in this episode, especially the Coulson/Talbot stuff.

That seems pretty clear. He completely forgot about killing Hive - you know, the guy threatening the entire PLANET! - and focused on taking care of Daisy like she was his daughter.

And, he was killed far too easily by the Aussie with the ghost rider chain. Meh... I was glad to see Daisy debugged and returned to normal though.

Like y'al, I thought it was kind of lame Lash was so easily killed and that his only mission apparently was to save Daisy. It would above been cool to see him fight more. It was pretty awesome to see him snap some necks though.

It's always cool to see the tie Ins with the movies.

Definitely think the cross necklace being given to Mack is a red herring. only thought I did have is what if it's not just one death, but two with Mack and Yoyo in the ship?

I was so geeked out when the Quinjet door opened and Lash was there. I was watching it on the DVR and figured that was the cliffhanger end to the episode, but was surprised there were still 15 mins left in the ep. Expected a much bigger fight between Lash and Hive. I liked that Hive cured Daisey though.

As for the necklace - I'd be pissed if Mack bites it. He's become the one on the team that provides a window for us humans - similar to how Clint Barton in Avengers 2 was really the focus from which the viewer could relate. If we lose him, we lose that. The other non-enhanced, while all providing their own role in the team from a storytelling standpoint, don't offer that same human viewpoint I can empathize with (Fitzsimmons are too smart, May is a cold-hearted spy, Coulson is the boss, and Bobby/Hunter left).

Was also a little disappointed with Lash dying so easily. Not sure who is going to kill Hive now.
I always find it interesting the number of characters that just seem to disappear. I think my current tally is:

1. Magnetic controlling guy (last seen with Hive in that tower)
2. PATTON OSWALT!!!
3. Talbot's bodyguard
4. Deathlok
5. Gravity guy from the first season (I assume still locked in a SHIELD facility somewhere)

My guess is now they have a reason for Daisey to get some avengence (?) on Hive.

I've also had the same thought about the characters that just disappear, but this might be a case where luckily I forget things. Still, we do need more Patton Oswalt

Is Gravity Guy that guy who got stuck in that black ooze (zero point matter or whatever)?

So I Googled Patton Oswalt and he apparently lost his wife in April. I'm guessing he has more important things on his mind. T&P for the guy.

I'm thinking this might be the cold opening for the episode, and a nightmare Daisy is having. It's either that or the team fails so spectacularly that it is the end of the world as we know it, and that would be a huge impact on the MCU. Which I don't see the movie side allowing, so I'm going with nightmare.

With Colsoun's tone and demeanor I'm going with nightmare as well.

The cross has been confirmed to pass hands in the finale.
quote:
And it's no accidental symbol, either. "We like that the hot potato of death is this delicate little cross," Tancharoen says. Adds EP Jed Whedon: "We're fighting the devil; it's a question of faith." Whedon is first to admit some of the potato-tossing in the finale is just to mess with viewers. "Some of it's pretty meaningful as it passes hands, and some of it's painful for the audience," he says.

One thing I think McCreary does extremely well, and has done well before on this show in regards to its score, is convey the emotional impact/tone of a scene. He did it frequently IMO on BSG, and two pieces that spring to mind are "Prelude to War" (when the Galactica and Pegasus were about to face off) and "Kat's Sacrifice" (from the episode titled The Passage). So I'm that we get the music to match tonight.

Part of me says I'm ready for this, but part of me is dreading the upcoming death.
