Agreed. I completely did not expect the betrayer to be her. I think it sets up some really interesting situations when they have to fight her in the near future. The decisions in the life and death moments will be really interesting to see.

I also thought her betrayal made me like Lincoln a little more. I feel like you can see his character development to where he is actual loyal to something now.

Could definitely see this happening. There is pretty much no mystery left to May's character and Daisy has taken a lot of her territory as the female lead able to take out a room of goons. Also, would prove to be somewhat of a poetic end to their tragic story arc/relationship.

I had the same thought. And his whiplashing with lightning was a nice touch to his powers

Daisy's "betrayal" (she is mind controlled after all) was very satisfying in the same way that Ward's was - looking forward to her playing the bad-guy.

My take on who dies is that it won't be a human - Mack and May's storytelling role to me is very similar to Hawkeye's in Avengers 2. It gives us a perspective we can relate to in a world with powered people. I'd hate to lose that. I guess you could say there's a redundancy there, but I figured it's YoYo with her necklace in the flashforward, and didn't we see a female arm in the quinjet?

The Lash vs. Hive show down should be fun - hopefully they give that episode enough budget so that it doesn't look too crappy.

So nothing on Coulson and Agent Carter appearing on Lip Sync Battle??

Good build up episode. Looks like it is going to be a great run to the finale.

I was almost positive Simmons was going to bite it. Pretty BA move on her part.

Also, as soon as Coulson got in the hole, I thought, "Wait a minute! He doesn't have a shield like Capt-"

Then he pulls out the shield. Coulson is always 2 steps ahead.

I'm struck by how impressive daisy is as a foe. Have to admit she is intimidating in that scene with fitz. I was thinking, "yea, she's not playing".

I hope fitz doesn't believe that she was speaking freely. She was pretty scary, though. Darth Vader Daisy.

Same here. Rewatched online. You basically missed "the head cut off", Hydra is gone, and FitzSimmons "crossed the event horizon" then my TV picked back up where Hive said he bought a hotel and they were going to do experiments to make everyone inhuman.

Ah.... Thank you. I heard "hotel" also and I was so confused. I thought Hive was making some bizarre Monopoly joke or something.

So seems like we're escalating to a battle of Hive/Daisy/Explosion Guy/Redhead Chick vs Lash/Lincoln/Joey/Yoyo.


EDIT: My theory, just to throw it out there, will be that the battle culminates in the launch of the stolen missile (that was Agents of Shield and not another Marvel show, right? I'm getting them all mixed up now) filled with terrigen crystals, and the death of a team member (my guess is May) trying to stop that in outer space.

So, the elimination of Hydra will be the Civil War tie-in, right?

I don't get this feeling. The brief Hydra takedown scene was more of a closing chapter in my mind. They finally got someone high enough to spill all the beans and the human Hydra has finally been eliminated. Hydra doesn't have a point to exist anymore anyway since Hive is back

I just figured that the takedown of Hydra might be a setup for the opening scene of Civil War. I'm sure there was some little easter egg this week, or will be next week.

Is there necessarily going to be a tie-in? They've already covered the topic of registration on here. The show writers may try to tie themselves in somehow if they can, but the movie will not be connected to the show from its side.

Holy **** (that's twice on two different shows tonight), I'm not sure that Daisy is truly under Hive's persuasion.

I'm not expecting a tie-in at all at this point to Cap 3.

I am however expecting a barn burner for the two hour finale.

This show man.. I get more emotional about Shield than any other show on tv. That Mac and Daisy convo killed me. I don't even care if it ties in to Civil War at this point. It's gravy if it does, but the story right now is so good!

That may have been one of the best exchanges this season. Hell, in the entire series so far.

Tonight also provided Lincoln with a shining moment for him to stand on his own, and while I don't like Lincoln I certainly don't loathe the character as much as I once did. It's pretty clear to me that he will likely die to save Daisy at some point.

I feel you on Stinkin Lincoln. I really don't know who is safe. I give everybody at least a 30% chance to be the one to die. I base that on absolutely nothing, but I don't feel confident in anyone definitely living.

I agree. I think going into the finale, everyone is up for grabs. One thing I found interesting is that they decided to give two members of the tactical team names. And the only one that sticks in my mind right now is Piper. And she got to use a freaking rocket launcher. It reminded me of when Coulson got to use that big gun in Avengers.

Not a good sign for them. Also they got Billy Riggins from FNL as the other tactical member who talked. So we get Smash, Tyra, and Billy.. I am going to pray that we get Lyla as Madame Hydra!

It's hard to say who dies now. Both Mac and Lincoln are willing to die for Daisy. I think it does make some sense for Lincoln to die though. Could be the reason Daisy turns from Hive. Is it possible we have multiple deaths this season?

I just think it is incredibly interesting we have seen nothing from Lash. When they busy him out, I wonder what kind of warpath he goes on.

It's possible, but I think that it is unlikely that we will have multiple main character deaths. Here's the roster as I see it of the top three most likely to be playing harps by the end of the season:

May
Lincoln
Mack

May's story I think has largely run it's course (she's trained Daisy and distanced herself from Andrew) and her death could push Lash over the edge which would culminate in him fighting Hive (season finale). Lincoln went to the extreme in trying out a cure for Daisy and almost died in the process. I can see him dying to free Daisy from Hive, and the next episode's title is "Emancipation." Mack I think could die to save or protect YoYo. While the Secret Warriors have parted ways from SHIELD for the moment, I don't see that lasting forever. And I think that if he dies protecting her, then she will probably come to SHIELD full time at that point as Mack made it a point to say that the mission of SHIELD is to protect.

I am going to go with May. Her death will push Lash over the top to defeat Hive.
