Well another ghost story.

Wife and I stayed at the Gage Hotel in Marathon Texas 3 weeks ago.

We stayed in the original part of the hotel and 1 of 2 rooms with a queen bed. We went to bed around 10 PM.

At 1 AM I woke straight up out of a deep sleep. I felt a touch on my left shoulder. I looked around the room and nothing. Felt like someone was there besides us. I then heard a tapping on the window. It was very distinctive.

I went to the restroom and came back to bed. My wife was awake and looking around the room. I asked nervously what's up. She said nothing and would tell me in the morning.

She gets up around 4 to go to the bathroom and she was a nervous wreck. I asked again what was wrong and she said don't worry about it.

In the morning we were laying there and she started talking. She said she felt my jolt awake and she said she heard a tapping on a window. I told her I heard it also. Then she told me what she saw.

When I went to the restroom she said a green glow started on one of the walls and started growing and floated over the bed and to the restroom where I was then disappeared into the bathroom where I was.

I am now nervous and wide eyed. She then tells me she saw it again in the night and heard a woman's voice.

She goes downstairs and talks to a manager. We were staying in a room where some violence happened a long time ago. I searched the internet and also went to the courthouse that day and found out that 2 people were murdered in the room in the 1930's.

There were no cars or anything else to make the floating light and nobody could reach the window to tap in it.

First of all, your wife is a C u next Tuesday for not giving you a heads up that some ethereal being was following you into the john.

Secondly, shouldn't hotel staff be obliged to mention such things before renting out a room!?!?

Finally, your wife remains a C u next Tuesday for letting you sleep through the night without sayin' anything.

Well it was on the Internet about the hotel being haunted. People waking up in the middle of the night unexpected and a woman's voice heard reading poetry.

I don't think the hotel has to accommodate telling about a murder that happened 80 years ago.

I am actually glad she did not tell me till morning. She on the other hand just fell asleep with exhaustion. She has never been a story teller or lie to me so I can only believe what she saw because her face showed it.

When I was a teenager, my Dad one day disappeared. Around that time, he was involved in a really big negotiation at work that would have helped his career and the financial stability of the family... so he was always stressed out and worried about it. At any rate, the night after he disappeared, I hear his voice telling me everything is going to be OK. What had happened is that my Dad was in a taxi and the taxi had plummeted off a bridge, sending my Dad into a coma. What's weird is that for the day's that he was gone, people at his office said he was at work and was working in his office on the upcoming deal. What's even weirder is that he had a scheduled medical physical for renewal of his life insurance policy... which they said he completed and passed.

As we were leaving the hospital, my Dad spots a taxi. He leans down and says to the taxi driver "go to hell, and sit on red hot coals and wait for me!". To which the taxi driver says "Yes, Evil Master!" and peels out and drives off.

I was recently reminded about a part of the story that I had forgotten to mention. When my Dad was found, they also found alot of quaaludes.

Here is the breakdown:

As we are embodied spirits, everyone can "communicate." All life is energy, even those out of their body. But obviously some are more talented than others. Some families are talented. It can be genetic. My wife can communicate but she turns it off. Her uncle can communicate very easily. He described by father's death in detail, because my father showed him.

My sister in law can turn any skeptic into a believer in about 5 minutes. Sometimes she cannot tell the difference between an earthbound ghost and an embodied stranger.

I'll pass on the religious sources. Documented cases.. Lol.

The 3 year long AWARE project directected by Dr. Sam Parnia placed pictures in high places inside operating rooms where no one could see them. Several different hospitals were used. Only an out of body experience could see it. All 1500 patients who qualified didn't see a thing. It was peer reviewed and everything.

Now over 30% claimed to have some kind of awareness after death. Which really doesn't prove they were experiencing a different dimension. I also find it curious that he published these findings after the experiment failed to prove something he himself believes in. It was on the news and all over the papers internet etc.

Laugh all you guys want. There are plenty of documented cases...even in your hometown. Like I said, talk to your local hospice nurse.

Also, I fully admit sympathy to the view of Catholic and Orthodox mystics...I am a Catholic.

There are also plenty of testimonies, similar subjective experiences given across time and environment, that do not necessarily align with these Christian views.

But it all points to something objectively real...and everyone gets to find out soon enough, don't they?

Look up Fabrice Muamba. He was clinically dead on the pitch of a pro soccer game for 78 minutes after a heart attack. They were able to resuscitate him. He was in a coma for a week or two after that.

When he woke up he asked what happened? When he was asked what it was like.. He said he experienced nothingness. He lost consciousness on the pitch and woke up in the hospital.
