She has always struggled playing Celia. I'm not sure why but it's always like this.
i can understand missing your shots or being uncomfortable, but this movement it's awful. She has some of the best footwork and movement you could ask at this level, but it's half of that today

We need them to lock in and drown out the distractions. Too many times we are serving for sets and matches and we lose our focus. You want to win a natty? You win matches like this.

I thought the same thing but did not think about her playing a senior but just 'a lot of stress for a freshman'. A very good experience for her.
And cannot forget about Daria, too, even though she has been there before. Still very stressful for her.
Yes - Daria is a good indoors player, but this is going to test her for sure. She's going to have to be more patient than she's used to.

Really think this will come down to who can hold their serve most consistently. Women's singles comes with a lot of breaks. You just cannot break and lose your serve at love. That's pretty poor match management.

I LOVE Lex's energy right now. she now's how big this is, and she's bringing the energy this set.
Shocking results but I'm keeping hope. Daria and Lex are simply better players and can do this!

I think it was the awesome comeback in Austin this year that the last two girls playing were on adjacent courts at the end and they said they fed off each other during their battles. Seeing the same thing here.
