To get up to speed on Nicole's match against Shavit Kimchi of Duke,

Nicole lost the 1st set, 3-6
Nicole won the 2nd set, 6-1.
Nicole leads the 3rd set, 4-2.

Now 5-5 in the 3rd set.

Nicole stresses me the hell out.

Well Mary didn't make it dramatic, so Nicole had to do it.
3-6, 6-1, 7-5.

Gosh, she was up 4-1 in that third set and then it got really interesting.

Stressful is the right word!

But she pulled it out 7-5 - whoop !!

No, her first set she was hitting long often like the last set a few times. I'm glad someone else was watching to confirm that her opponent wasn't simply waiting out cramps like Vidmanova against Mary last year, because that second set was art.

Mary is up first at 10:30 a.m. again to go against Michigan sophmore Piper Charney, presumed #3. Last year in the #5/6 spot Charney had almost as many singles wins (37) as the best player in the country (38). Maybe today can be this year's tie-breaker.

Nicole starts at 12:30 p.m. against Penn senior Sabine Rutlauka, presumed #1. Ratlauka advanced due to Amelia Honer's retirement from yesterday's match. She was a semifinalist & finalist in W15 tournaments in Europe this summer. This fall she is 12-2 with her only loses to Connie Ma and Melodie Collard.

Only five of the thirty-two matches yesterday went to a third set. Daria gave her hell yesterday.

I was wondering what happened to Honer. Expected that to be a really good match; one that I expected Honer to win. Didn't realize she is injured.

The direct court video from the Baylor site shows on only a small portion of my screen. I logged in to PlaySight and they do not not show any tennis activity at Waco, only Cary, even though I am following multiple matches at this time on the ioncourt page.

If someone could provide a direct video link to Mary's match this morning (and Nicole's later) on PlaySight it would be great!

I use the Firefox browser. Very, very rarely do I have to use Edge to get a site to work. When Mary's match was supposed to start I tried Edge and it is working.

Mary off to a quick 3-0 start. Looking good.
