Ok. Google tells me that's a term for fans of Ferrari.

Toto would have been *****ing just as much of it were red flagged.

The stewards sucked ass this year. From race 1 (I think) to letting Lewis get away with track limits for 50 laps then enforcing it when max went out to the final lap today. If you're honest it all probably evened out. Today wouldn't have mattered if a couple things went differently through the year. The timing and situation of this one will make it more dramatic and more of a focus, but that doesn't mean it was more severe or had a greater impact.

For tires, Lewis called out his own teams strategy. "Seems like a risky move to leave me out here"

If nothing else, there is nobody in F1 that can whine like Toto. Begging for no safety car earlier was just embarrassing. There's a lot of luck involved in F1 and it was weird to see Merc hit with some bad luck at the most inopportune time. The run of good luck they've had was bound to end, but to see it happen in such spectacular fashion was a surprise.

I would like to see Ham have to defend his claim that Checo was driving dirty. That was pretty embarrassing.

Funny that pretty much everyone agrees the lap 1 incident was incorrectly decided and karma actually did bite back.

FIA will do their normal Toto placating and then we can move on to 2022 and a new set of regulations.

As an ABHer I was glad some excitement was injected at the end. A safety car in the last ten laps always changes things dramatically and it was edge of seat stuff.

This has been an exciting season and I am a little sad it is over. Now we wait for DTS to get us to the start of next season.

I've got the fever

And I'd wager being a Tifosi recently has been on par with typhus

Total bs way to end it. I guess congrats to Max for having a Williams, a Haas, and that total idiot Masi for giving it to him. Max was not the better driver today.

Probably not, but RB made the better strategy calls given the circumstances and Ham seemed aware his team was putting him in a tough spot. Now he'll have to see if his team can legislate away the bad strategy calls at the end.

Max had some BS stuff go against him this season (Silverstone, getting speared by Bottas in Hungary, tire puncture in Baku) so I guess the racing gods evened things out.

Better driving is only part of the equation to win.
Car
Strategy
Teamwork
Driver
Luck

Think Lewis was better driver in silverstone had the wreck not happened? Baku?
Lewis is amazing as a driver but his teams strategy and luck ran out today (and Masi but I'll file that under luck)

Pretty sure Max was the better driver. That's how Moto Racing works.

I'll file it right alongside Toto's email from Silverstone

I googled it. After the restart LeClerc's front tire made contact with his rear tire. I guess there was damage.

That one was never going anywhere. Its the restart procedure protest that matters.

I had forgotten why I gave up on F1 years ago, today reminded me. I wasn't rooting against Max, but they bent the rules to make it more exciting. That's garbage IMO. You don't want a race ending under yellow or don't want Max to have to pass three or four cars on the last lap (after he was already given back 12 seconds) change the rules for next year…but this is what F1 does, which is petty much whether it wants. And then finds a way to rationalize it.

Hope MB sues and lays bare how the circuit operates.

/end nerd F1 rant.

That's literally every sport ever. See Texas A&M v. LSU 2021. Rules can be called/defended and disagreements likely won't change anything.

Kind of funny Merc is protesting something other than a perceived RB infraction. Seems like a tough one to win as RB didn't do anything wrong. And the restart wasn't unfair to either garage - the only difference being RB was praying for a restart and Merc was praying for a slow roll over the finish line. Maybe not the best gamble in the last race of the season with both drivers on equal points. Merc had to suspect race control was going to do everything they could to get one last racing lap in. They can't have been that naive.

Merc last week as race control sticks it to RB and Merc believes race control is siding on the RB race dirty side - Masi is the man!
Merc this week with no RB shenanigans and the wild card safety car at the end of the race - Masi sucks!

Hamster never crossed the finish line first so I'm not sure how he could be declared the winner.

It's one thing for a "ref" to decide whether something in the moment is an infraction and make a split second decision. It's another to have time to decide what to do, communicate one thing to the teams, then change your mind 30 seconds before the race is over. The steward determined the outcome of that race, period. If he chooses to leave the cars behind Lewis, Lewis wins. When he decided to let the cars pass, he knew he was giving RB the win. There is no way around it.

Another protest is Max possibly overtaking Merc under the safety car. Of course Ham was playing games on the throttle (as pretty much everyone does so I'm not taking a shot at Ham) and Max probably should have been further back, but to decide the championship on something like that seems really ticky tack as there was no advantage gained even if Max nudged ahead by a few inches for less than a second because Ham had a car length when the safety car ended.

Zero basis of this, when Ham went full brake multiple times before green light.

Geez. Where were these whiners in lap one, practice 3, last week on the double yellow, last week with the steward decisions throughout the race
