Why would he be mad? Was Perez mad when Red Bull sacrificed his championship points by making him pit, drop out of the points, and go for fastest lap to take points off Lewis at Silverstone? That seems like something to be far more angry about.
He's the second driver and isn't in contention for the championship because he's slower than Lewis. There's no grand conspiracy against Bottas at Mercedes.

I don't care if this was an autocorrect or not. Outstanding!WC87 said:Silver Arrows said:

I don't think anyone is saying boss ass is a better driver than Hamilton. Just that it has to suck to put your own ambitions in check. Just like it sucks for all the number two drivers. And why do you think Red Bull is not giving Checo the same upgrades as Max? That makes no sense from a team perspective.

Now that it's official, what is his motivation to be a team player moving forward? Do you think he still concedes to Hamilton every single time?

Because ultimately he is like every other driver on the grid and wants to win and do the absolute best he can. Ok sure he understands his role at merc, but that doesn't mean he has to be happy about intentionally slowing down so lewis can pick up another point. I'm not saying Bottas is hands down a better driver than Hamilton. But it certainly helps you stay in the lead every week when you have another drive who will run interference, slow down, and defer to you every time.
Exactly. Ask Ocon if his teammate Alonso had anything to do with his win.PJYoung said:nai06 said:Silver Arrows said:

Welcome to F1?
Itโs official. Next year, Iโll be a Mercedes F1 driver. This is a special day for me and I want to say a huge thank you to @WilliamsRacing, @MercedesAMGF1 and everyone who has supported me in getting to where I am today. I couldnโt have done it without every single one of you. ๐ pic.twitter.com/MmGA1vr9mR

Williams' new owners have a lot more capital to invest in R&D, plus the new development token system. I actually think they are well positioned to jump well up the order. It was just 6-7 years ago that they were fighting for P3 in the constructors championship with multiple podiums. De Vries is quick and motivated to make the most of his F1 opportunity.Brad 98 said:
I am seeing that every team is telling fans to be optimistic in 2022. My question is do you guys think that more teams will be competitive, or will we see the same 4 to 5 teams dominate? I cant imagine how Williams, Haas, Sauber (Alfa Rameo) and Alpine can be more competitive
2022 is a major technical rules change. Every time that has happened in past there has been one or two teams that have made a major breakthrough or found a loophole that has granted them a large advantage which typically takes multiple years to close. The technical regulations will be more strict next year, offering fewer opportunities for development, but I still think one team will get it right relative to the others. For a couple of examples of what I'm referring to google:Brad 98 said:
