Trev has hitched his wagon to a loser. Who will hold him accountable?

No matter what happens tonight.

glad youre happy doc. its your money, and you cant take it with you anyway.
but maybe in 10 yrs the next gen can show yall how to demand results.
i'm sorry but our lineup sucked. And so did our bullpen.twk said:If you think Earley was fighting with a short stick, then you don't watch a lot of SEC baseball. Was the team as good as last year? No, although the starting rotation was a LOT better, bullpen was a question mark (until late) and the lineup not as good without Montgomery, Appel, and Burton. Was it a below average SEC lineup? No, not even close. There was plenty of talent on this roster, they just didn't come close to playing to their potential consistently (just about everyone did for brief spells).MagnumLoad said:
So name the position player talent other than Jace, Sorrell and maybe Kent. Jace slumped beginning in the CWS. Sorrell hurt. No disrespect but thinking our talent was overall great is delusional. And didn't come close to last year.

I guess Schloss was right in wanting the Army AD. He would have at least supported baseball.

Saban has said multiple times high achievers don't like mediocre people and mediocre people don't like high achievers. Kinda makes you empathetic to Schloss leaving.

Wasn't on the trev hate train till now. That dude is spineless and he needs to go too. Doubling down on such a huge mistake.

Earley's performance this season neutered any possibility of future success. He has to rebuild an entire roster and will do so with zero confidence from the kids he needs to recruit. Portal players that have other/better options will be told by competitive coaches that Earley ruined Jace and cost him a ton of cash. Those kids ain't coming here. Schloss gutted our HS commitment list and Earley has not done a good job refilling it. The club baseball community is laughing at A&M and there wont be much interest in Earley being able to grab those top line kids.
It's hard to walk when your legs have been cut off at the knees. And Earley's coaching performance this year did exactly that.
But hey, at least Grahovic is happy we are keeping Mike. Now his buddy will keep going easy on him.

Unless someone can explain to me the reasoning for the chronic defense alignment or base running miscues, Earley should be fired. I don't ever recall our own tv or radio guys calling this out so often, not to mention the baseball 101 mistakes continually pointed out on texags. It's unprecedented. The guy is learning on the job. Appears has a lot more to learn before he's ready.

Still no answer for this that I've seen, yet here we are.

Regardless of results, I'm already looking forward to revisiting this thread around this time next year! I'm ready to go on the record and say that I'm glad he's getting another season. Like it or not, his inexperience coupled with our bad luck with injuries were significant factors in how this season turned out. We will see what we think in May '26!

Out them. That's uncalled for. You're a good Ag and a great supporter of the program. If people use DM's to just rip hate instead of discuss things privately then they deserve to be outed.
And that is fine.Wabs said:
Derm is a good Ag, no doubt. I vehemently disagree with him on Earley but it is what it is. We have an AD that couldn't care less about baseball and we just have to live with it. Should be easy for us old Ags.

Mediocrity is acceptable as long as you are polite along the way. Ignore what you see on the field with your eyes, just tell everyone how it's ok because we do things the "right way" and we are ok if that means we don't win. We can puff out our chests and proudly say, "we always win halftime". Aggie way and it will never change.
please no.Reno Hightower said:
I expect Oklahoma St level results for baseball.

Sorry man, I have been quiet most of the year, well, almost all of it. Some by design and some by circumstance. This year has been an emotional roller coaster. Highest of highs and lowest of lows .... and everything in between. Result has sucked for sure, especially when compared to expectations.dermdoc said:And that is fine.Wabs said:
