It's hard to imagine a candidate less likely. Maybe Scheyer

Trev also had Earley pushed on him by the players and boosters to keep the roster intact. He wasn't able to do an actual coaching search.
That's one problem we have at A&M that no one wants to talk about. The booster pressure to hire specific people is intense. Basketball boosters are undoubtedly in his ear about who he needs to hire and if it doesn't work out he will get blamed and those same boosters will pressure the next hire, too.
Bill Moos hired Hoiberg and Bolt. Trev hired Rhule.TxAg76 said:
Who hired the current Nebraska big 3 sport coaches?
I know I could look it up, but odds are high someone else already has.
Rhule was a good get.
Hoiberg was a good hire at the time.
Baseball, I think he was already there before Trev?

Looking at current salaries and buyouts, Steve Lutz is beginning to look like a hot take.
Looks like an 8 figure difference over 3-4 years vs. Beard.

Rick Barnes only so we can resurrect "Rick Barnes has removed his name from consideration."
I suspect it'll be a white bread hire, but not literally.Southlake said:

Did someone dare you to come up with two of the worst suggestions you could think of and post them?ThatGirl said:
Gonna throw out 2 names I haven't seen mentioned…Bob Huggins
Mike Boynton
Huggy Bear has baggage, but is a great coach and would be a fun hire.
Boynton got a raw deal with NCAA sanctions & penalties at Okie State. He's a great coach (currently an assistant at Michigan, I think) & a great guy. He would show up unannounced for Freshman move in day at the dorms to volunteer for check in or help haul stuff up stairs. Everyone loved him but he wasn't able to dig them out of the NCAA mess.

I'm really down about this.
I think we should be more frustrated by the fact that we have allowed ourselves to be a stepping stone instead of a destination.

What is it about Lutz' 17-18 record at Okie State this past year that makes him such a desirable candidate to y'all?
Nah, we are the smoking hot bridesmaid that is bat **** crazy. Fun for awhile but then reality sets in and its not the best long term movezooguy96 said:Bluecat_Aggie94 said:

A&M is always the red-headed-step child bridesmaid, never the bride.

According to Google, it looks like Beard's buyout would be $19M as of today. Is that right????Pichael Thompson said:
If we get Chris beard ill become the biggest trev Albert's fan on the site
Having said that I fully expect him to hire a junior high b team basketball coach so he can say saved money
