since we got chalk, I'd prefer to stick with chalk and france. It's tough to root against england being a gooner, but I hate the entitlement of the english fanbase. so much more pleasing to see them come in with tu-like hype and stumble every 4 years. As much as I respect Messi, I think there's just too many instances of VARgentina to overlook this time around. Spain is boring af.

it's crazy knowing that win or lose, Paris is going to be burned down again. sad.

France - England final.

I'd love England to win I just don't see how.

But I'll take a miracle - the English are due. Call their fans insufferable if you will..... they are a bit like Aggie fans to be honest. I can say that. Only their title is slightly more recent (1966).

Kane has been my favorite player for some time as a Tottenham guy so I'll pull for him.

Think all fans that are passionate about the teams they follow can be a pain!

I will say that for the broader base of England fans, many were put off by the sterile play and performances in Euro 24 and while of course not actively supporting Spain, were not overly surprised at the defeat.

Watching Spain pass the ball between the center backs and the wingers 9 billion times for 87 minutes and not going anywhere is dull. I hope they give up two early so we aren't subjected to that.

it is WILD to see the hate that simply playing a golf round has fueled. Imagine being in South FL already and getting an invite from a sitting POTUS and saying no. I don't care who it is...if a head of state invites me to play golf, I'm not saying no. It was insane to see online how many self proclaimed "diehard" England fans say they were actively rooting against their team when they heard that news.

Mbappe was right in the thick of it, clapping back at her and all that. Coaches, staff, etc. And I thought I read that the team or the French FA was the one that forwarded it on to the aforementioned authorities.

England - Kane through and through (not golf related I'm a Spurs fan)
France - much respect for Mbappe and at least they play an exciting style
Spain - hate the style but respect the result, not like they've won recently
Argentina - begrudging respect to Messi but hate the very obvious ref/VAR bias and they got their trophy last time so F em
