On the upside I was able to get my money back even after all of FIFA's fees (actually made $45). I listed them for $250 a ticket and they sold in 40 minutes.

I ended up selling my Ecuador v Curacao tickets for saturday. My father in-law passed away unexpectedly yesterday so I'm driving back to TX to handle arrangements.

We're all loving the Tartan Army invasion of Boston stuff, but how awesome will the videos be of the Tartan Army invading South Beach.....talk about a clash of culture

I will never forget our trip there in 2007 for the Ags vs Canes at the Orange Bowl. A bunch of older Ags in Fishing shirts and wranglers carrying their boots in hand, walking the white sands of South Beach with their conservatively dressed wives trying to pretend not to notice all of the string bikinis and toplessness .
This will be up there with that.

The Scots may be lacking in football talent, but no one can compete with them in sheer alcoholism.
No one east of Wisconsin, at any rate.

I was worried that with the expanded field a lot of these early matches would just be awful. With the exception of a few blowouts, I have been pleasantly surprised. The matches have been excellent and some of the favorites have been humbled.
I've also really enjoyed seeing the fan interactions. With the Iranian fans, the one on one interactions with US fans and others have been overwhelmingly positive. It's been really cool to see people put differences aside and come together over the love of the sport.

Has there ever been more matches that ended in a draw. Spain and Portugal tying their first matches - a shocker.
Also, Norway's maiden voyage into the World Cup this Century shocked some people....

That means someone had to put 64,146 very small pieces of blue tape over every single Gillette logo on every. single. seat.
