We are rooting for Bosnia or Qatar to win because if they tie our odds of getting Senegal go way up. Not that they're impossible to beat but it would be a step up in competition for sure compared to the other two.

I don't know how often they are updating this or if it's real time, but they have Egypt v Cape Verde as the US second round opponent if US were to get by BH.
There's likelihood of a brutal round of 16 matchup between Germany and France.

In every scenario in which a B group team qualifies in the top 8 of 3rd place teams we play them unless A C D F are the non qualifying 3rd place group teams. Because Germany gets the team from ABCDF and it would only be Bosnia in B group in that case.
But A C D and F are all currently in the top 8 of 3rd place teams. They would ALL have to drop out. It would require about 7 specific results to engineer that
F Sweden would need to lose badly
A Czech would need to lose or tie
C Scotland would need to lose
D Algeria would need to lose
K DR Congo would need to win
E Ecuador would need to win
I Senegal would need to win BIG
And then it would depend on some GD tiebreakers.
ALSO a slim possibility that Bosnia would not even qualify in the top 8 with 4 points. But that also would take a lot to engineer. They now lead the 3rd place teams with 4 points and -1 GD and would need 8 teams to pass them meaning 4 points or more and a better GD. It's possible but unlkely.
The #USMNT plays the Group B 3rd-place team (B&H) in 329 of 330 permutations in which the Group B 3rd-place team advances.
