Wow. That feels like quite a blow but you have to think the job is very attractive and Arsenal will find someone more than capable.

From the club's viewpoint you can ease yourself a bit by wondering "maybe he's taken us as far as he can and let's see if someone else can get us over the line."

There were rumors that he was offered that job several months ago and we were led to believe he had turned it down. I've seen claims that he put the move on hold to help with our transition from Vinai leaving.

I'm a bit torn. Feel like he has done some good but also feel we have missed out on some good deal under his watch. Then there is the fact that we don't really have any quality depth in key positions. I don't think any team should be defined by one person and this job should be attractive to a number of people. I also expect that this is not a surprise and we likely have a replacement lined up.

The depth issue is real but I also think back to the team he inherited and what a **** show that was. Building depth takes time and an obscene amount of money. We've built it in places and not in others.
If you say you hate the state of politics in this nation and you don't get involved in it, you obviously don't hate the state of politics in this nation.

Felt like last season's Porto match all over again. 11 behind the ball, can't press because the inter player throws themselves to the turf every time we win a tackle and the ref falls for it every time.
