Oh my put that in the back of the net
Probably called back for offsides any way.

I think it's 50/50 if saliba was off but Havertz was 100% on. Troussard got the double medal for being offside AND getting in the way of a sure goal from Havertz. Bungled.

Upon a closer look, I'm pretty sure Saliba is onsides because Cucurella's foot was still in front. Great movement by Havertz to pull Cucurella out of the defensive line. He was so lost due to Havertz's little run

Some say that makes the draw even worse but I'm actually encouraged by it. We actually created some great chances. Trossard is in quite a funk, though, maybe started by playing out of position for a few games

That miss wouldn't have happened if we had signed Mudryk.

I know DiMarzio is iffy but he claims we are looking at Monaco's SD to replace Edu. Interesting that it's another Brazilian.

Havertz needed to go off and I'm starting to come around that he deserved the yellow after re-watching that moment a few times. I still am not convinced he needed to card Havertz but I'm less annoyed about it now

Another SD option? Not linked to us yet but interesting timing. Was manager at Sociedad when Areteta signed for them in 2004 and was responsible for Merino, Zubi, Isak & MO at Sociedad.

Strangely Attractive

Seems like it would be a fantastic fit.

That's huge given that we have no time table on Benny Blanco returning after his knee surgery

Rumors are that Arsenal is a possible destination for an unhappy Arda Guler who isn't getting much playing time at Real Madrid

Arda Gler's Real Madrid career still hasn't taken off, 16 months after joining the club. Nobody doubts the 19-year-old's quality -- and he's a big fan favourite at the Bernabu -- but his minutes are limited under coach Carlo Ancelotti, and after his profile rocketed following a starring role at Euro 2024, it's entirely predictable that he's being linked with a move away.

Gler has played 265 minutes in LaLiga this season, plus another 39 minutes in the Champions League. The midfielder has started three league games of a possible 12, and all of those starts came in August and September. That means he's begun Madrid's last nine matches on the bench. And this at a time when the team have been underperforming, and lacking creativity.

Ancelotti has talked up his talent, calling him "the present and future of Real Madrid" and asking for patience, but the stats suggest that in the biggest games, like El Clsico, he isn't willing to call on Gler. In fact, one of the criticisms of Ancelotti from fans and the Madrid media this season has been over his reluctance to use Gler and fellow teenager Endrick.

In terms of a switch to Arsenal, the degaard comparison is an attractive one, and the parallels are obvious: both are gifted, left-footed playmakers, young players who were snapped up by Madrid amid interest from big clubs all over Europe. Gler would also slot perfectly into the 'degaard role' at Arsenal, on the right-hand side of a midfield three.

degaard wasn't willing to wait for his chance at Madrid, given the competition for places in midfield, and pushed to leave, first to Real Sociedad and then Arsenal. Gler hasn't done the same yet. He and the club have both been insistent that a loan move isn't on the cards. But if he continues to struggle to get into the team, and his development is under threat, that patience won't last.

Personally, I don't think we are in for Guler. Don't see where he gets on the field for us and frankly I would rather give those minutes to Nwaneri. In the off chance that we add anyone in Jan I'd bet on a left-footed FW or a young DM for the future.

And while there are no rumors of him wanting to leave, if I was looking to steal a stud from Real, my focus would be squarely on Camavinga. He has more minutes than Guler he is on 5 starts in all comps and a total of 430 min. Partey has 3x the number of minutes so far and Camavinga would be phenomenal in his spot.

Ben White knee surgery.

Quote:

Nov 22 (Reuters) - Arsenal will be without defender Ben White for a few months after he underwent knee surgery but they are hopeful he will return before the end of the season, manager Mikel Arteta said on Friday.

White underwent surgery during the international break and Arteta said the club decided the 27-year-old had to go under the knife as they did not see any improvement in his injury.
The defender has been a regular in Arsenal's back line in the last two seasons but has made only seven league starts this term.

"Ben White is going to be out for months, unfortunately," Arteta told reporters ahead of Saturday's home game against Nottingham Forest.

"It's been different kinds of struggles, never the same thing. We had to make a decision, it hasn't been improving in the last few weeks. We know Ben is going to push every boundary, but it got to a point where we had to protect the player.

"We decided to do surgery, he agreed with that and that's going to keep him out for a few months. We have to see how he reacts post-surgery, I don't expect it to be half a year but I can't say exactly how long it will be."
