Couldn't agree more. Injuries plagued me doing crossfit over the years, could never make significant progress without getting hurt. Started doing romwod four days a week and it has changed everything

its just one of those things for me...like nails on a chalkboard

I still do the wods because they are awesome, but I typically turn the volume way down and just play other music

I think there's a way you can create a custom board on the actual leaderboard website. Seem's like I did something like that with some friends from other gyms last year. Obviously, you'd have to know everyone's name so this may be a more preferred method for some on here.

Yeah, my reason for setting it up in Google was two-fold:

1. It allows people to keep some semblance of anonymity, if preferred.
2. CF doesn't allow custom leaderboards this year.

My wife and I are signed up for our first Open. I'll be in the 40-45 Men's Masters Scaled. She'll be in the 40-45 Women's Masters Scaled.

Neither of us will qualify...

in the sense that its a motor workout with moderately heavy weight versus an "establish a heavy clean & jerk" type of thing.

I predict this will be the "easiest" of all 2017 open wods. I was really terrified of double db thrusters (they may still happen). This is one you have to pace. I firmly believe that. Just finishing it is my goal.

Agree. 50 lbs is pretty damn heavy for me. I'll be doing it at 5:30 am, and going for Rx. I doubt I will beat the time cap, so I'm just going to pace it out and try to keep moving.

The crux of this wod will be the bbjo, at least for me.

Take a look at the official standards. Pretty strict.

Took a too-aggressive pace with the burpees early and fell apart on my cardio at about 14:00.

The Burpees are a breeze. Just keep a steady pace.

Those snatches tho.. fml, my back is in a bind. Started the round of 50 at 11:20 and could barely string any together after that.

I'm fairly happy with that. I wanted to get into the 50 snatch set, and was able to. I don't think I could improve enough to make it into the 15 burpee final if I tried again.

We did have one guy hit 224 Rx. That sucked for him.
