I used to manage a baseball league that Pete coached a team. His post-game talks always included a weather report if relevant.

Hmmm...I have personal weather stations nearby saying six inches (twss) tonight. My pool disagrees but my neighbors down the street with low drainage agree.

This is from 9pm or so...dude trying to get home a few streets over hit the cul-de-sac down my block with a couple feet of water...had to abandon ship...

Played golf/went mudding at Sherrill Park this AM. The pro Ronny said they got 4", and Plano just upstream was getting 5-6" . Dead fish and golf balls everywhere.

Shouldn't be an issue unless there is a slope issue, right? Effectively a full pool should be the same as having a concrete patio. Anything extra just rolls down slope?

We had an issue with our overflow not working and got it fixed so def understand the anxiety / frustration but should be ok, in my very unprofessional opinion.

While we have overflow drains, it doesn't take much for them to get backed up in about 5 min in a heavy rain. Plus, our pool is very close to the house. Our house is U shaped and the pool sits in that U.

In very heavy rain, we've actually had water lapping against the outside walls. Very rare but it's happened. I'll have my BIL come by and drain it if I need to.

If I look at the radar to see where the rain might come from on Monday but it looks clear in all directions. What gives? Where is it coming from?

I don't live up there so I don't get the news. Have some work in the area and will be continuing on up to OKC.
