Man traffic was rough this morning in what was basically a drizzle my entire way into Dallas. Not sure I got over 40 mph.

That was one hell of a wind when it came through around 3:30 AM here. All my pool furniture was overturned and scattered around the decking.

Had to lift up 3 blown over trash cans on my way through our alley this AM....apparently I am the first one to leave our neighborhood....

We have the fireplace running for first time this year. My wife looks for any excuse to have it and below 50 is good enough for her.

I still have summer settings where heat is turned down to 65 to keep it from ever kicking on. My wife saw the thermostat dip below 70 & she jacked it up enough to switch the aux heat on. I was sitting in my office and started sweating before I realized what happened.

It is currently 64 in our house, the heater did finally kick in last night.

Getting some pea-sized hail in Southlake right now

About to get passed over here in near south side fw. Ha!

We got pea-ed on as well across the lake in FloMo. I am sure the door knocking will recommence.

Same out here in Prosper but they can slow their role till April.

Every time I happen to get caught by one outside or not paying attention to who knocked on the door, I telll them i am good.

They ask to climb up and inspect it for me. I tell them inspectors do more damage walking on my roof than the hailstorm would have.

Ask how old the roof is. I answer that is less than 5. The guy yesterday told me in N Texas the roof only lasts 5 years tops. Told him we are good.

He then tells me if I have a leak from the previous storm and make a claim in the future from another storm, the insurance company can claim I was negligent in not replacing the roof and will deny the future claim. Had not heard than one before, doesn't sound right to me.

Then I just say I don't feel like paying $5,000 deductible right now as I am confident the roof has not been damaged. He then gives me that "there are ways we can take care of that...". So you want me to be an accessory to your insurance fraud scheme? No thanks,
