Ah, thanks, the guy who sent the pic to me just texted me and said it was 6-7 feet long, so that makes sense.

Did you stab it to death with toothpicks?
Are you putting together files on each? Identifying marks, coloration, etc. and then assigning them a number?MouthBQ98 said:
Guess what? Two more copperheads. Found while patrolling yard just after sunset. Captured, photographed, taken far away.

Got home yesterday and a checkered garter snake was on the back porch. He had recently eaten something and was so fat he couldn't move too well.
So I went to grab him to move him out to the woods....Im guessing he sensed danger and he regurgitated his meal so he could get away! Gulf coast toad!
My boys (9 and 7) witnessed the entire regurgitation process and were floored by its awesomeness. He lost his meal but will live to see another day.
I have pics but don't know how to post!

they are about 8 acres away.
The only way I've had it is battered and fried. It was very good.Uncle Gunnysack said:
is rattlesnake as good eating as they say,and what is the best way to prep it?
Had rattlesnake sausage and something like rattlesnake " crab cakes" that were excellent in Sedona recently. In college many many moons ago my roommates and I would have a semester ending wild game weekend where we would cook up all the various critters we killed during the year. Usually had half a dozen rattlers that we would fix in the usually fried way but also made a rattlesnake casserole that was awesome.Texmid said:The only way I've had it is battered and fried.
