Only thing I can think of is guitar playing. I used to work with a guy who left his fingernails long for that reason.

Cotton mouth found in central Florida. 2 horses were scared away from a group camping and this guy got blamed. Horses still haven't turned up 20 hours later but we got to ride around all day on 4 wheelers while we pretended to look for them.
It was 73 out today but only saw 1 black racer.
