Oh how bungie has fallen.
Apparently there was a dispute with the original destiny composer resulting in a bunch of songs not being put in the game. I think this is considered a leak and Bungie might pull it down but Mega Link to download it. This is known as Music of the Spheres and each track is tied to a location in Destiny.

Yup. There was a big dispute between Bungie and Martin O'Donnell regarding his contract. (He previously did all the Halo soundtracks for Bungie)
But the music of the spheres has been out for a couple years at least, and unless there was a recent leak of even more songs, I wouldn't worry about Bungie taking it down.

huh, This Reddit post made it seem like it's something new.
Hmmm what I've been listening to must have only been someone piecing together parts of the official D1 soundtrack. All the buzz surely makes it seem like this is a new thing, which is amazing.

Music of the spheres was never officially released. what has been out there previously was fan attempts to recreate it as much as possible from the short excerpts that are on the D1 soundtrack, and pieces that appear in-game.
Marty was forced to relinquish all of his copies when he was fired from Bungie, but he had publicly stated that he had given out over 100 copies as promotional material back when he was still music lead at Bungie, so it did exist in the wild, and it would eventually come out.
Finally, someone that had a copy of it, got in touch with the guys that had been trying to piece it together and gave it to them. Marty confirmed that the leak was legit

Here are two Destiny 1 Lore books (PDFs) that takes the grimoire and a bunch of art and makes something pretty awesome.
Right now it's just a downloadable PDF. 1st book is all about the Allies of the Light (characters, weapons, crucible, etc.) while the 2nd is about it's enemies (enemy factions, enemy weapons, etc.) He says a new book on the Book of Sorrows (Hive History) is the next on the list.

So, chatting late last night got some folks wanting to run a raid for old times sake. Anyone interested? It will have to be a little late so folks can put their kids to bed. We won't start before 9:00, for sure. Will probably be closer to 10:00, honestly, just depends on when everyone can get free.

You're good man! Just learning the encounters takes some time. It gets better once you learn how each encounter works so that you're anticipating moments in the fight rather than reacting.
If I were designing the game I would have each of the two encounters we finished be a mini-raid. There are just not enough people that can invest 3-4 hours of interrupted gaming to make it popular across a large number of gamers.
So instead of having one raid at release they could have three. Just make it so you have to have won some of the preceding events to unlock the later events.

Keep in mind that those of us who already knew the encounter were knocking off the rust last night, as well. The whole raid can be knocked out in an hour to an hour and a half, pretty easily. There are videos of folks doing it MUCH faster, even. We just had lots of little mistakes last night that then snowballed. Leviathon is similar to the Oryx raid in the first destiny, folks have to know their roll and there is little to no room for margin of error. Got to keep a clean run to beat the encounter!

Bungie is gonna release their big list of changes to appease the community today. Not to sound dramatic, but I think this when we'll see the long-term direction Bungie has planned for this game. How important is Eververse compared to the community? Will the focus still be on dumbing down the game to rope in new players or pleasing the veterans with some customization and real endgame? Reintroduce lore? Make Crucible Great Again?
Too little too late? Or, more likely, is this where the Live Team saves the day again only to have everything reversed when Destiny 3 comes out.

Hopefully they announce a fix to the vault space issue that's been a problem since year 1.
They mentioned also that they've made changes based on the reaction to the Dawning so should be better hopefully.
Good to know! I'm waiting on the TWAB to do anything else. The only real things I've been doing is trying to get segira's shell. (spell check the heck out of that one) Outside of that, I've had no desire to do much. I've flat out left strikes that have either been repeated more than once or are that stupid exodus down strike. I haven't had much downtime lately so gaming, in general, has been hit or miss.
