So apparently if the O-line engages with a rusher and then the rusher uses his inside arm to try and go under and and break through the arms of the blocker in an attempt to get around the outside... they will allow the blocker to maintain that "arm bar" with the outside arm. Essentially the rusher is putting himself in that position and they give some grace to the O-line guy who is allowed to try and maintain his grip on the guy.
So I guess that makes a little sense. But it does seem like they let it slide a bit much yesterday. When Parsons moves the guy back into the QBs lap and the guy is still arm barring him, I would still expect to see yellow fly.
At least they did finally call one in the 4th quarter. But there were easily 2 more than could have / should have been called and a couple others that were close, but probably a good no call based on the description above.

Well except the Raiders didn't win. After the terribly bad roughing call there were several makeup calls in the other direction.jr15aggie said:

But yeah, it's hard to not think something is going on when you see the same thing over and over again. It sure feels like the Cowboys have been a target for years now. Last year was particularly bad... They literally flagged the Raiders to victory. And then come playoff time the 49'ers grabbed and held all game long while the Cowboys could get nothing going on offense because after every key 1st down... yup... HOLDING!!!!
Yep. Raiders ran the "heave and pray" offense all game and the refs rewarded them handsomely. It wasn't just against us either. There was a 538 article about it.jr15aggie said:

The most one sided referee-ing I can recall ever seeing. I've seen lots of bad calls in my life, I can't recall another game where it was all game long and 100% one sided.

It's hard not to be a conspiracy theorist sometimes. But there are other counter arguments too. We beat Detroit in the playoffs a few years ago and I believe there was a pretty bad no call that really helped us late in the game. And I remember beating Seattle in the playoffs recently and I don't recall any ref shenanigans there

It's already been said... but what I still cannot figure out is how, even if the ball moved, he still regained control with his full body in bounds rolling in the end zone. There was never a time that the ball was on the ground and not in his grasp. He had it, dove, the ball bobbled, and he regrabbed it with his body never going out of bounds.
And then you consider the fact that the call on the field was a catch. It probably is the worst overturned call of all time.
Am I still bitter.... hell yes I am! The ref was either a complete moron or somebody had a reason for making that call.
