You either didn't read the article or have poor reading comprehension asshat.

I did read it, that scenario isn't happening and there is a reason no one of consequence has written that article or discussed it before. You can't play the victim all the time while being a ******** to anyone that disagrees with you.

Reports that Dak was offered $33 million a year, $105 million guaranteed.

Seems very fair. That puts him making more than the guys he should be ahead of, but below current & upcoming deals of guys with rings.

Cowboys would rather pay less, but the guy has been a winner since day one. Dak's camp probably wants more but come back to me when we at least have a new NFC Champs banner hanging in the stadium!

Going to be unfortunate if they have to put the tag on him. I feel like the agent is mucking this up. Dak is going to get paid, but if this heads down the path of missing a new coach's minicamps and such, I really think it could set him back as a player and cost him more in the long run. He's not anywhere near good enough to just show up.

As Jerry says "deadlines make deals." I think a deal with dak is around the corner & if it is under 35 M/Y it's a win for the front office. The cap is about to increase dramatically in the next few years under the new CBA.

QB contracts are like buying a new car. The second you sign the contract and drive it off the lot that car is officially worth less than the other new cars still on the lot... even the ones that aren't as nice.

All these agents want to "future proof" the contracts so that QB X doesn't sign a better deal down the road. But it's an impossible goal, QB contracts are always going up.

There's nothing wrong with the (rumored) current deal on the table for Dak. His agent is just terrified that some Kirk Cousins type will get a much better deal in a year or two.

The word on the NFL Network this morning is exclusive tag - $33 million for this year unless something breaks this morning.

Well so much for deadline making deals lol it looks like we are about to let Amari hit FA

Definitely want Dak to get paid but really want Amari to stay a Cowboy

That's worst case scenario. Was hoping to have either Dak or Amari under contract by now and tag the other.

Very curious as to how much Dak is asking. This is nuts.

Wonder what the details on the Jarwin contract look like. Only 9.25 guaranteed makes me think its back loaded and cheap for the first 2 years.

i am guessing DAK doesn't want a long term deal because he wants to be a FA when the TV contracts get renewed. So he held out for something he knew the Cowboys would never pay.

Hard to express how badly Stephen has handled this.

Hey, at least we aren't the Texans trading our best players for 4th round picks.

I think it's difficult to make this assessment without knowing what Dak is asking. The offer they reportedly put on the table is extremely fair

Take Dak's contract out of it. They let Amari and Jones walk. That is a huge failure, IMO.

What if Amari wants to match Julio Jones at $22 million/yr and Jones wants $18 million/yr?

Neither are worth "best in the league" contracts and I wouldn't do either.

Both could have been locked up much sooner at less than those numbers.

In two years, $20m for Amari and $18 for Jones may look like bargains.

Just like $35 or $37 per would look great for Dak had they got that done months ago.

Cowboys front office is terrible. Last three drafts have largely been WTF leaving the 2020 draft to be incredibly important bungled Zeke and D-Law deals while seemingly screwing up with Dak and Cooper.

It's also tough to say that the offer is "fair" without knowing all the terms.

I also don't think they really believe he's the guy at this point. They purposely leaked out a deal that's less guaranteed money than Goff and Wentz.
Macarthur

Bradbury just got $15 million per year. $18 for Byron would have been a huge bargain.

Some of you are going to be blown away by the numbers that are gonna be thrown out there.

Totally plausible and what makes it even more frustrating is they have made zero effort to bring in competition or a replacement for QB. They also think Dak should take some sort of "home town star on helmet" discount because he can get Campbell's soup money. They are antiquated and unorganized.
