Just saw that Armstead and SF are working on a deal. Nothing set in stone, but it sounds like they want him back and he wants to be there. Would love to have him though.
Lamb is going to be very good, but I would hate to pass on first round defense.gigem1223 said:
Seeing some mocks with CeeDee LambTo the Cowboys. I personally love the player but would think this would mean we don't resign Cooper? Or possibly sign cooper but not Cobb? I'd be on board with letting Cobb go, franchising Cooper and drafting Lamb. What's everyone's thoughts on Lamb?
I keep wondering when they will have a good safety on the team.Kellso said:
Are the Cowboys ever going to draft a monster defensive tackle with a first round pick?
Jay Ratliff was the last above average defensive tackle the Cowboys have had...and that was over 10 years ago

Whether some of you guys like or not, probably half the fan base is sick of Jeff heath starting. It would be a good way for McCarthy to send a message that things are different by drafting Delpit in the first round.
Garrett and marinelli never cared about the safety position and they also wondered why we never generated turnovers.
Whether you like it or not, I'll wager that McCarthy doesn't give a flaming rat's backside what half the fan base thinks about anything.Grapesoda2525 said:I keep wondering when they will have a good safety on the team.Kellso said:

The other day the cowboys west coast scout named Ross Wuensche came to A&M and spoke to us. He dropped some nuggets but the one that stood out to me the most was that they are looking for bigger DL now. He said during the previous regime that they looked for pass rushing 3T's only but it seems that now they want run stuffing DL. This makes sense since Jim Tomsula and Mike Nolan are leading the defense now.
If he's injured he's an absolute lock to be taken by Dallas in the 2nd.Quote:
Laviska Shenault is a guy that might slip to us at 51 due to the injury he suffered at the combine and the depth of this draft. Now he would be someone we can't pass up in the 2nd round, IMO
Im glad Marinelli is gone. The Cowboys defense is consistently at the bottom of the league in forcing turnovers.Ag Natural said:Grapesoda2525 said:I keep wondering when they will have a good safety on the team.Kellso said:

Yep. Marinelli was behind several bad draft decisions. He apparently loves small DTs and big DEs. He REALLY loves guys who can play multiple positions. Nevermind if they were actually good at any of them. I'm excited to see what the strategy is now. McCarthy has stated several times that he doesnt care about need or fit. Get him good players and he'll design a scheme around them.
If that could happen, I would do it in a heartbeat. And I'm a big Dak believer.98Ag99Grad said:
They have them taking Tua, Delpit, and Lamb in the first round. That'd be quite the haul of big name talent.
they dont make the trade unless Tua is there at 5 in this completely made up scenario that has as much chance of happening as Romo playing for Renegades this weekendac04 said:
that assumes tua lasts til 5. what is the plan when he doesn't
my apologies, go back to discussing the intricacies and timing of a fictional trade.bonfarr said:
Do you ever post anything that doesn't make you seem like an annoying know-it-all?
You're the guy that posted an article that thinks we could get 2 first round picks for Dak, that's incredibly stupid.bonfarr said:
