I would agree if Swaim wasn't showing promise until he got hurt last year. Also, we have our 4 WRs all on contract, Dez, eat a ****, Terrance and butler. A pick there would be a 3/4.

Still need DBs and depth on D. If awuzie, Lewis or taco aren't day 1 starters, you're effed.

Heath isn't their only option. With Jones and Awuzie's ability to play safety, I'm thrilled they got a chance to get a good corner in the 3rd. Still need to keep building, but I think they are on a good path to building some strong, young talent with some flexible options in the secondary.

I think the idea is we don't want him playing too many snaps. The term starter is a loose term anyway because Rod rotates guys in/out so much. Look at the 4 man rotation we had at safety last year. I am very pleased with Heath's growth as a pro and I definitely want him on the field a lot more than he was last year, but if we are forced to play him too much his production will go down.

As much as I love the idea of getting Desmond King in the 3rd (wow that would be awesome but I doubt he lasts past the first few picks in the 4th), Reynolds could be a real dark horse pick for Dallas. No, we don't "need" him, but the Cowboys are in no way married to Butler or Lucky... they will gladly upgrade with a rookie who can take their job!

There are several people that think Reynolds is MUCH better than several WR that went on day 2.

Carl Lawson is also an interesting prospect that is still on the board.

Jake Butt is also very very tempting. I don't like redshirt years, but getting a guy of his caliber in the 4th... man that's so tempting!

Another name to keep in mind... Samaje Perine, RB from OU. Guy was VERY productive sharing carries with the girl beater. Very good value in the 4th. If he's at the top of the Cowboys board they won't hesitate to get Zeke's primary back-up.

While I'd like to see them continue to build D, I can see the value in this pick. Whitehead is garbage and their return game has sucked. This also may give them some flexibility to let Beasley go when his contract is up after 2018.

Caught nearly 100 passes for over 1100 yardsast season. Also a career return average of 11 per punt and took 7 to the house. Decent chance for good midround value.

Should have put probably in there. You can find these guys in the later rounds, even had he been taken there's still KD Cannon, Dupree, McKenzie etc. I just believe we could have gotten better value for a fourth rounder.

On King Im guessing theres obviously intel there on him teams have that we dont since so many clubs have passed on him. Regardless Dallas has no 5th rounder so its gona be a while to pick again.

The Pats and Cowboys have shown that small and quick inside receivers are truly the QBS best friend especially on 3rd down. This kid looks like a real player and Lucky has been less than stellar. He can backup Beasley and be a returner from day one. Absolutely not a wasted pick.

I love, love, love this pick. I first saw him in a game while sitting in airport bar a few years back. I could hardly believe my eyes. He runs like he's on ice skates. Best punt returner in the draft. Makes people look stoopid.

I also believe he's the leading receiver in the FBS over the last two seasons.
