So he could do to Texas A&M what he did to the Boy Scouts of America?
Ranger65's mentorship is also what put Mark Milley on the path to CJCS.
Screw that. Keep him as far away as possible.

Bowtie needs to either be the interim, on the selection committee or the new permanent president.

I hate to see a Cancel Culture boomerang affect Texas A&M. The students and faculty were overall supportive of Gen. Welsh. The opinions of the stakeholders should outweigh the politicians in power. It's a concerning precedent.
Where Gen. Welsh ran into issues was reversing his stand on congruence of the syllabus and course description. I found a previous semester's syllabus and it was reasonable in course objective given the undergraduate course description (no mention of gender ideology). I have not seen this semester's syllabus to determine whether there was a change. For core courses there should be some agreement, although each professor generally may have differences in approach within the confines of the course description.
TBH, I don't know the context of the student-teacher discussion re: gender roles through yesterday's or today's lens. I thought both student and teacher were respectful in the viral video. Gender roles and raising children couldn't have been much different over 100+ years ago, and varied widely between rural and more urban environments. It wasn't unusual for boys to be in a dress or blouse prior to regularly attending school. Christopher Robin (Winnie the Pooh) had long hair and wore a blouse and shorts in the original AA Milne drawings. How this fits into today's gender/trans political controversies or into the content discussed in the class I wouldn't hazard to guess.
Generally course syllabi are not reviewed before posting on Howdy. There may have been an internal yearly review in English. Maybe Gen. Welsh knew beforehand of deviation from the syllabus or course description, but without direct evidence that seems unlikely. It's just not S.O.P.
Given that A&M has lost a department head, Dean, and a solid President, as well as the faculty, there should be a full investigation with findings made public,

Bob Gates is too liberal for people like Harrison at this point. Bowen Loftin is too liberal. Earl Rudder himself would be pushed out for being too liberal. We have no prayer of finding anyone half as good as Welsh, and are just going to have to deal with someone that's going to be wholly unqualified to run an institution as big as TAMU. I just hope that they don't destroy A&M in the process.

Most high ranking military types are gonna lean liberal. It's incredible what they've done to field grade officers over the past couple of decades.
Most academics are gonna lean liberall even moreso.
Need to hire a guy who built and ran a successful business before retiring or selling it off.
Exactly. I am not willing to take the risk with another military officer or academics. Avoid both.
