Guessing Cornyn.
You'd see some elite level goal trending and gaslighting here if that happened!
I don't see it. Paxton has been tight with him.
Has Trump EVER shown any degree of personal loyalty?
I think he's worried about losing the Senate...and the SD9 sealed the deal.
Are you seriously putting validity in the SD9 special election? An election that has zero impact since the Texas legislature won't be back in session until 2027 when the winner of the actual SD9 race in November matters?
The only people that cared about SD9 were democrats.
The dems, as well as K2, are relying on people not paying attention to a completely irrelevant special election in which the winner has no duties or influence between now and the general election. They're hoping that a headline that a Dem won an election in a Republican district will resonate with the LIV voters. \
But I'm sorry to inform you, K2, folks on this forum are a bit more informed than the normal LIV voter; so, get used to your trial balloons continuing to be popped.
Yup. Dems are the only ones who cared about a random state senate seat with no voting outcome..:
There is a difference between trying to activate the grass roots for a non-impactful election (Trump's commentary and DeSantis's X Post), and the choice of many Republicans to not engage in a non-impactful election.
All things being equal, it would be great for the Republican grass roots to engage and vote in an election like this, but there is decades-long history of the apathy of Republicans in special elections. The overall number of votes in this run-off bears out this statement.
As far as the second X post by halfway post goes, he's an admitted satirist that was going for clicks with a fabricated post. Not sure why you included that one.
Ross Hunt's X post is a bit more nuanced. I'm inclined to agree with this poster's response to his analysis regarding "Republican" turnout:
In an extremely low turnout election that is for optics only, virtually the ONLY ones motivated to participate were those who were taking advantage of the low turnout to create a narrative. Kudos to them for that, but to insinuate that this election is any sort of indicator of a statewide shift to the left is fanciful wishful thinking.
