They do this every election and show the Democrats even or running away with Texas. It is all about getting $$$, motivating their base, and depressing Republican turnout.

Those are the moderates that show up every 2 years telling us that only a moderate republican can beat the democrats in the general. They show up every election year telling us why we can't vote for the more conservative candidate in the primariy.

One thing I've learned over the last 10-15 years following politics is no longer to try to reach for the moral/ethical high ground with my votes. Morality and ethics no longer in play with a win-at-all-costs approach to preserve my way of life.

Paxton is a POS adulterer in his personal life. I'm not going to go out of my way to hang out with the guy. But on policy, I love him. Whereas Cornyn has ****ed us numerous times in the last 24 years.

Plus, what he did to that brisket is permanently stuck in my head.

I'm not worried about what he did in his personal life. I think it gives you a window into him but I can keep personal and professional separate.

My issue is with the securities fraud, coming after whistleblowers, his campaign finance issues, the bribery and abuse of public trust -- and most importantly, using taxpayer money to try and cover his ass. This isn't even a full list of his misdeeds. I just can't with him. I also don't think he gives a **** about preserving your way of life -- only his. He's got a long track record of proving that.
