We will know much much more tomorrow, I think.

If Massie loses to Gallrein in KY then that's showing a pattern to the tune of LA Senator Bill Cassidy, hinting strongly that Republican voters will be active and favoring the new guys/replacements

but there are numerous races across the county where republicans are not favoring republicans.

Trump endorsed the opponents of Cassidy & Massie. He was vocal against both. So really no comparison with those races.


Though I do think Paxton wins.

I do think it is a valid comparison though. While no endorsement has been made, actions for and against Trump can be seen easily. I think it's a heavy Paxton and Middleton lean

He doesn't hold as much disdain towards Cornyn, but Cornyn hasn't exactly been a fervent defender of Trump and his policies as Paxton has. Don't think Thune has helped Cornyn at all by not getting the SAVE Act through.

Cornyn is on the record saying Trump shouldn't run in 2024 and couldn't win. His COVID and red flag laws hasn't helped either.

This endorsement comes down to one thing and one thing only it looks like The SAVE America Act. The failure to get that passed (regardless of Cornyn's fault) is why Trump didn't endorse him

Endorsing halfway through Election Day seems a bit… late to influence the outcome.

Feels more like they are confident in a "winner" and are just making sure no surprises.

He may have waited for one last shot at The Save Act before letting Cornyn go scorched earth. I mean a 1% chance is better than 0%.

Plus, his endorsement will help turnout. I voted yesterday and was the only one in the room voting.

Finally, all I heard on the media driving into work was "Trump said he would endorse and now he's not. REEEEEEEEEEEE'. That could be the reason also.

I needed this because my 81 yr old mother believed the bs attack ads against Paxton and was going to vote Cornyn. She loves Trump and also thought he endorsed Cornyn due to the lying ads. Well now, she is voting for Paxton. So Paxton will have 2 votes from our family instead of mine cancelling out my mother's vote.
