Washington D.C. runs on secrets and trading information gathered by public funding for massive private profit. The size of the community of professional secret keepers, who are really secret traders, is huge.

If you think that David Rush is an outlier and this sort of thing has only happened once in a generation, you don't understand the depravity of the spooks.

And staffers.

Reagan famously said term limits weren't needed for congress, but for congressional staff. The Hill:
Quote:

"The Dumocrats cheat, lie, and steal, especially when it comes to Votes in Elections, but stick together, whereas the Republicans allow the Elizabeth MacDonoughs of the World to stay in power, and brutalize us. We need THE SAVE AMERICA ACT passed, and NOW," Trump wrote last month.

Thune at the time shrugged off Trump's demands to fire the parliamentarian as nothing new and warned doing would only make it tougher to manage the Senate as some Republicans would view such a move as likely to destroy the fabric of the upper chamber, where the minority is accorded more power than in the House.

"That's, I guess, his opinion. But that would create even more vote issues here if we were to try and do something like that," Thune said of Trump's desire to find a new parliamentarian.

Trump on Monday repeated his criticisms of MacDonough as someone who was elevated to her position by then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) in 2012 when Barack Obama was president.

He also bashed former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) for leaving MacDonough in place after Republicans captured the Senate majority in the 2014 election.

"She was put there by then Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and Barack Hussein Obama, need I say more? She is a nasty holdover from Mitch McConnell (A man who has proven to be very disloyal to John Thune!)" Trump posted on Monday.

J.D. Vance needs to stroll into the Senate, take the Presiding Chair, and fire the parliamentarian. Then appoint Jonathan Turley or Mark Levin as the new parliamentarian and dare John Thune to do something about it.

Thune is just the federal incarnation of Phelan/Burrows. He keeps the "bipartisan" traditions in place because he wants to. Not because of collegiality or fairness (because democrats care nothing about either of those), but because those traditions provide a firewall he can hide behind rather than enacting the president's agenda.

Where are all of the Trump judges? Oh, right. Can't confirm any of them. Republicans have accomplished almost nothing in two years, despite a strong mandate when Trump was elected. Because they haven't wanted to pass conservative legislation.

The federal judiciary has a "USAID" type of infection.

Gut and skin the FJC:
Quote:

Ties to FJC Science Manual

The AAAS's history of left-wing advocacy was apparently not a problem for the Federal Judicial Center when it compiled its most recent science manual for judges. The manual shows that at least four FJC staff members who are listed as having worked on the guide boast ties to the AAAS. Unsurprisingly, several of these authors have an apparent affinity for left-wing ideology.

Co-author Ellen Urheim served as a congressional staffer to former Sen. Bob Casey, D-Pa., prior to becoming an AAAS policy fellow for 2024-2025. Federal Election Commission records indicate that Urheim has made several donations to ActBlue, a major Democrat Party fundraising platform under federal scrutinyfor its criminally suspect activities.

Co-author Reshmina William, another former AAAS policy fellow, boasts an X account frequented with posts telegraphing her left-wing bias. With "she/her" pronouns in her bio, William has issued tweets that appear to criticize the Trump administration's immigration policies and a 2023 Supreme Court decision about the Environmental Protection Agency's regulatory power; espousing "delight" for a show about drag queens; congratulating Pete Buttigieg and his male partner on acquiring a pair of motherless children; wishingKamala Harris a happy birthday; and quoting from a "fascinating" Washington Post article about lawn management and climate change that said, "A lawn is just a garden under totalitarian rule."

The unnamed sources in this article are some of the people that Pulte needs to fire.

It would be nice to believe it but I really think it's all made up.

He wrote that yesterday talking about events to happen today. The intelligence community isn't just going to hand anything they want hidden over to him on day 1. The Nato force reductions (about a third of what we keep in Europe) have all been announced but nothing specific to July 4th, a federal holiday no less.

Anyway, the UK is a police state and Pulte needs to advocate terminating all 5-eyes intelligence sharing.

Pulte begins mass-firings?
Quote:

The president also reportedly wants to see Clayton's replacement installed before having him take over as DNI.

What does all this mean? It means Pulte is still on the job and essentially able to go wild, since, as Acting Director, he does not need to face lawmakers at potentially testy confirmation hearings. According to multiple reports, that's exactly what he's doing as he's allegedly sending out pink slips all over the place.
Quote:

President Donald Trump's new acting director of national intelligence, Bill Pulte, began purging staff members at the office Monday, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to NBC News.
"The deep state firings have begun," the source said.

CNN was first to report that the dismissals were underway.

Quote:

Pulte had signaled this move could be coming:
Quote:

Sources had previously told CNN that Bill Pulte, Trump's pick to serve as director of national intelligence in an acting capacity, was looking at cutting hundreds of jobs at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI). Last week, Pulte showed up to his new job a day early after asking for a list of every employee in the office, sources told CNN, catching even outgoing director Tulsi Gabbard off-guard.

Trump has been pushing for the action, telling an interviewer in early June that he thought the agency was too bloated and populated by people "who shouldn't be there." Trump argued that Pulte's "acting" status
meant that he was "less shackled" and could move quickly on the issue.

Democrats are big mad at the news, and had earlier Monday sent Pulte a threatening letterdemanding that he stand down.

Democrats being 'big mad' is a nice way to sign off for the evening.

The Election Assistance Commission members and their Inspector General need to be fired today. The EAC has the responsibility for auditing and certifying voting equipment since its establishment under the Help America Vote Act of 2002. The EAC is supposed to have two commissioners from the Democrat party and two commissioners from the Republican party and an executive director. The commissioners are supposed to serve a four year term but the two of the three current Democrat commissioners were appointed by Obama in 2015. Trump nominated two commissioners in 2019 but only one was a Republican, Donald Palmer. Palmer resigned from the commission in 2021 and that has left the EAC with three Democrat Commissioners and the Executive Director.

https://bipartisanpolicy.org/article/the-election-assistance-commission-has-a-vacancy-now-what/

Trump's staff have been derelict in not identifying a Republican nominee to fill out the EAC. Every one of the commissioners is beyond the four year term of service. He should nominate four new commissions and an Executive Director immediately. .

The EAC has NEVER actually performed and audit of any electronic voting machines in any state despite havinga statutory responsibility. They have rubber stamped the certifications of the Secretaries of State without any verification of claims or audit of the staye certification processes. The debacle of undocumented software applications and changes being made to the software versions after the certification by the states as documented by Tina Peters in Colorado, the EAC has never exercised their statutory authority to decertify voting machines.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Election_Assistance_Commission

Appointing competent directors to the EAC and insisting on actual audits and certifications could, in combination with the EO on postal service delivery of ballots, eliminate huge amounts of baked-in fraud.

The EAC has distributed over $1B to the states in Election Security Grants since 2018. What do you think the states have been buying with all those ESG grants? They are using this federal money from the EAC to buy the thoroughly compromised and insecure voting machines that are being used to steal elections.

Let that sink in. The EAC refuses to perform its statutory responsibility of certifying and auditing states election systems and voting machines, as Tina Peters pleaded with them to do, but at the same time it is handing out ~$1B to people like Jenna Griswold that were using it to buy deliberately insecure voting machines.

What the Xeet says:

Quote:

Nobody is telling you what SCOTUS actually handed Trump today..

the headlines say "Trump wins right to fire FTC commissioner"..

that's the smallest version of this story..

here's what actually happened..

since 1935.. Humphrey's Executor v. United States has been the legal wall protecting every "independent" agency from direct presidential control.. antitrust enforcement.. merger reviews.. consumer protection.. labor relations.. securities regulation..

that wall is gone.. 6-3.. Chief Justice Roberts writing..

and here's what nobody wants to say out loud..

Democrats spent the last 4 years loading those commissions with commissioners specifically designed to block Trump's agenda from inside his own executive branch..

Rebecca Kelly Slaughter was one of them.. fired March 2025.. she sued.. today she lost..

the FTC is just the first domino.. NLRB.. SEC.. EEOC.. every commission that wields executive power now sits under the same logic the court just applied..

91 years of precedent.. gone in one opinion..

one carve-out: the Federal Reserve.. explicitly protected.. separate statutory structure.. separate litigation still running..

everything else just became the President's to control..

the "independent" agencies were never truly independent.. today SCOTUS made that the law.

What the left isn't understanding is that all this lawfare is actually BACKFIRING.

It's making all these SCOTUS rulings the new precedent for LOTS of cases that had never been decided in court.

Marco Rubio had a lot to say about the ICC yesterday.

Quote:

Quote:

Americans never agreed to any of this. Both of our major political parties opposed the prospect of handing a distant global court the power to prosecute and jail our own citizens. President Clinton refused to submit the Rome Statute (the ICC's founding charter) to the Senate for ratification due to his "concerns about significant flaws in the Treaty." Two years later, a bipartisan Senate supermajority passed the American Servicemembers' Protection Act, authorizing the president "to use all means necessary"including military forceto prevent the ICC from detaining or arresting Americans.

Americans found themselves in the crosshairs anyway: In 2020 the ICC launched an investigation into what chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda of Gambia described as "war crimes by members of the United States armed forces" in Afghanistan, declaring that the U.S. government hadn't prosecuted enough American soldiers to satisfy the court. In effect, Ms. Bensouda was anointing herself the final judge of U.S. military policy and the entire U.S. justice system.

The Afghanistan investigation was only the opening move in the assault against American self-government. The ICC is backed and run by a powerful network of leftist nongovernment organizations, smug globalists, and hostile Third World governments united by their enmity toward the U.S.

...Perhaps more polite and compliant nations could make their peace with that arrangement. But this is America. Our forefathers fought a revolution against a foreign power "transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences." Independence is our birthright. We don't intend to trade it for rule by a self-appointed priesthood of "international law."

The Trump administration will always protect American service members from this threat. The U.S. is launching a diplomatic campaign with a simple messagesovereign states over globalism. Those who benefit from American security must not stand idly by while those who provide that security are targeted. This is only the beginning. Using all the tools at our government's disposal, working beside every ally with whom we can make common cause, we will dismantle the ICCbrick by brick, if necessary.

Key Pardon attorney in WH fired.
Quote:

One of the key figures involved in former White House occupant Joe Biden's thousands of pardons to violent criminals has been terminated.

Liz Oyer, the head of the Justice Department's pardon office, revealed in a LinkedIn post on Friday that she was ousted after three years in the position.

"I'm sad to share that I was fired today from the job I have poured my heart and soul into for the last three years," Oyer wrote on Linkedin. "I am so proud of the team we built in the Office of the Pardon Attorney, who will carry on our important work."

"I'm very grateful for the many extraordinary people I've had the opportunity to connect with on this journey," she added. "Thank you for your partnership, your support, and your belief in second chances."

Of course, her sister's a lunatic too.

A former public defender, clearly a bleeding heart 'liberal' with no compassion for victims of criminals, just the criminals. An exemplar of Democrat injustice.
Quote:

  • Liz Oyer revamps clemency review amid structural challenges
  • Backlog of 16,000 petitions halved by speeding up denials
When Liz Oyer, the first known former public defender to lead the Justice Department's pardon office, arrived in April 2022, she moved in a collection of 22 framed photographs of women serving life sentences. Oyer then commissioned a formerly incarcerated sketch artist to display around 350 copies of his black-and-white profile portraits of fellow inmates he'd originally drawn in the prison yard.
The sketches form a grid blanketing the entry hallway of the Northeast Washington office space. The photos hang on the communal wall outside Oyer's private office, showing women in their natural prison environsthe mess hall, library, gym, and nurserywith expressions of contempt, stoicism, and tranquility.
Her team, which has more than doubled to 43 under Oyer's watch, can look up at the faces of those pleading for a second chance. They can read the inmates' handwritten notes displayed below the photos.
"In the beginning I felt as if my life was over," reads one from a woman sentenced at age 16 to 20 years to life, pictured now as a 23-year-old in her prison library. She now has a new belief: "I will be free."
Oyer's staff reviews some 8,000 pending applications for early prison release or overturned convictions. The masses of faceless applications can make it easy to forget their mission is rooted in humanity.
"I always remind my team, 'We are not making widgets,'" Oyer said in a recent interview at her office.
Converting her wing of a drab federal complex into a museum of compassion is one of multiple ways Oyer, 45, has tried maneuvering within strict boundaries to transform the functions and stature of a unit that's felt out of place in a department led primarily by prosecutors. She reports up to a deputy attorney general's office filled with career prosecutors who can reject her suggestions to grant clemency before they reach the White House.

Update, she unapologetically testified today.
