I just watched a (never before seen) video clip of ANOTHER passenger pinning Neely's arm down while Penny was holding him. Other passengers testified that they DEFINITELY felt threatened by Neely.
And of course, there was a crowd outside screaming "Subway Strangler" as Penny arrived at the Courthouse.

This whole thing is very George Floyd-esque but we're living in a different time now. It'll be interesting to see if a blue venue will convict in this era of rebuking BLM.

No court today. Defense continues putting on its case Thursday.

If he is freed, he better move his ass to a red state ASAP, or he is not very smart. Only a bunch of deranged, zealous, left wing psychos would even think about punishing this man...and NYC is filled with those. Normal, sane, reasonable people are the exception.

Win or lose, the DA screwed him. This sham of a trial is costing him a fortune

I can't believe this event went to trial. The DA's witnesses did more to help the defense than the prosecution in my opinion, even before cross examination.

These jurors are New Yorkers who ride the subway every day. There's no way he gets convicted of anything. I'd put the chances at close to 0%.

I want to believe. I hope there are 2-3 principled people on that jury that aren't worried about the blowback when their identities are eventually released to the public.

Saw Judge Pirro comment on the jury. She's been at the trial most days. Said for a Manhattan jury, it was quite diverse and filled with people who probably ride the subways often as opposed to taking cabs or Ubers everywhere.

But juries can be crazy. Guess we'll see.
