It's not coaching. It's not the program. It's Texas A&M. The way the whole place is run. The culture. All of it.

Hey We have yell leaders, that make us so different. Otherwise we'd just be everyone else (sarcasm).

This isn't a cause and affect thing. But there's a pattern here. We don't actually want to win here, unless it's our way.

Coaches players and administrators come and go but we continue to lose.

What does this even mean? Do you want to change everything? Burn every building down? Fire every employee down to the food service workers and dorm janitors? Kick out every current student and revoke every diploma?

We are a soft fan base, soft administration, we care more about how we treat other teams, we care more about players who aren't elite whatsoever, but we're told they're amazing. We care more about honoring traditions, and having males be our cheerleaders. We care more about being nice. We don't care about winning, we seriously don't. A&M has non football minds making the football decision because they have money. For all the flack we give tu for letting their donors run the program, our program is worse when it comes to that. And we have Aggie media telling us every off season how this team is stronger, more physical, faster, and how the culture is completely different. This year is going to be different… nothing has changed and nothing will change. We are soft and we are not serious about winning.

It's the absolute reluctance to accept modernity. For Pete's sake we still argue about cheerleaders. People like the Rudder Association fight to keep us stuck in 1962. We focus our university marketing on the corps of cadets even though they represent less than 3 percent of the student body. Midnight yell has become a cringe event. Etc…

Some of you need to spend some time walking through the MSC and reflect a bit on what really matters.

Any Aggie that would trade what Texas A&M is for anything else really isn't an Aggie at all.

This is minor league pro football. Someday we might reach the top of the mountain or maybe not. Enjoy it for what it is, in the end it's of little importance.

The notion that our university should somehow morph its culture and traditions because that would lead to football success, I reject out of hand.

And ladies and gentlemen, this is why. Losers with a losing mindset.

Our culture was great when Jackie Sherrill was our head coach. He knew how to win at A&M and embraced all our traditions. He also hired damn good coordinators and assistants, in addition to getting great players. There's no secret to having success in coaching, but few seem to be able to make it happen at A&M.

Hey Jaxis no disrespect but who named you the final word on what is Aggie and what isn't Aggie? Maybe for some if us an Aggie isn't tied to old ways that aren't relevant in today's world. I love my time at A&M but those days are gone. We have a past, I get it, We can respect our history but not be held back by it.
