Same old tire narrative from the left

Background Checks- already have them stupid

Assault weapons- no such thing and only 3% of all shootings are by any type of long gun

It's just the same ole tired stuff

According to Sheriff Jud Smith in an interview below, it took them ~50 minutes to arrive with police/em's?

50 minutes...

"The first call reporting an "active shooter" at Apalachee High School came around 9:30 a.m., Smith said. Deputies and emergency medical personnel rushed to the school at about 10:23 a.m., the Barrow County Sheriff's Office said in a statement."

Figured we were due for one of these around the elections. Probably gonna be a cop beat down soon.

50 minutes is completely unacceptable. We had a false alarm school shooting situation where I live in rural Tennessee, and every LEO in the county and neighboring counties was on the scene in minutes.

Zero info yet KJP pushing for banning weapons.

Who cares. It is a losing issue.

It's like Republicans pushing for a total abortion ban. It gets the hard right excited but in the end is a losing position electorally. So is election deniers for both sides. Losing positions electorally. Gun confiscation is a losing position. They can grandstand all they want.

Except the Dem presidents are the ones pushing for it. Show me a Republican President who is pushing to ban abortion.

I'll wait.

And last I checked the R's didn't grandstand. It got out in front of the Supreme Court and Roe v Wade was found unconstitutional.

You completely missed the point. I'm not talking about one specific candidate or politician. I'm speaking in general terms. In general terms gun control is a losing issue no matter who is advocating for it.

This is no BS. Three days ago I had just told my wife that it had been awhile since the last school shooting and that I bet one would happen before the election.
What timing huh?

Man those gun free zone signs do wonders don't they?

It's hard not to go straight conspiracy theory when we have a debate coming up in less than a week and one of the candidates is looking for her gotcha moment of telling him she is talking now. Perfect softball lob here to go down the gun control path for several questions and shorten up that pesky discussion on economy, border, foreign policy, etc.

So you got half way there. That's a good start for you.

I will mantain that gun control is a losing issue electorally and they can talk about it all they want.

Moving on.

Or, the FAR more likely scenario, it has nothing to do with all of that nonsense.

Start? You made a statement about my comment which was merely how disgusting it is they are ALREADY going to the gun-banning well.

Anyway, yes moving on.

Everyone here knows I hate conspiracy theories (the stupid kind like QAnon, not whatever Democrats call a conspiracy theory to try to shut people up), but school shootings often seem to occur right when it will be beneficial to Democrats.

Is it a coincidence, probably.

Would it be a surprise that some fed was grooming a kid online to go conduct a mass shooting? Not at all.

Come on, they would NEVER just drop a topic, let's say foreign policy as an example, from a debate now, would they? That just won't happen, this is still 'Merica.

Would just like to point out that these didn't happen 50 years ago when guns were not locked up, but the crazy people were.

You could have a rifle on the rack in your pickup in the school parking lot, but bad kids were suspended, sent to juvie, sent to a children's home, sent to reform school, made to enlist in the army, or in a mental institution.

Now the only ones getting locked up are the kids who accidentally bring hunting ammo to school in their car, and the bad kids are "accepted" and "celebrated.

Add social media and 24 hour news cycle, and here we are.

I've told this one before.

Circa fall of 91. After football practice we were shooting a 20 gauge in the parking lot, just a few shots, busitng up some concrete clumps. All of a sudden the vice Principal comes out of the building and quickly walks to the parking lot and he is no question pissed off.

He then proceeds to berate us for making noise while he was in a very important conference call and to knock it off. Never said a word about the shotgun.

Im completely de-sensitized to these now, this all starts at the home with the parents, start holding them responsible for the actions of their kids if they are minors or live at home.

Thinking that Feds are grooming kids to become mass murderers to further the goals of Dems without a shred of proof is ridiculous.

Any school shooting is going to help Dems temporarily. This will be completely forgotten in a week or two.

It's not hard to whisper encouragement into a crazy kids ear to get them to do things. Seems far fetched for such a scheme but hey, the ends justify the means, right?

Trump needs to be careful here and not let the Dems sucker him into saying anything anti-gun at all. Just stay silent on it and don't let this become a top issue for voters.

Right now the top 3 issues on the minds of the largest number of voters are immigration, economy and abortion rights. He is winning on 2 of the 3. Don't bring another loser issue to the front.
