Unarmed, door was not barricaded and the assessment a 110lb lady was a threat that warranted being shot to death is criminal negligence. Certainly was not fentanyl that killed her.

There was no reason to shoot Ashli Babbit. There was also no reason to protect the shooter's identity for so long.

I dont have much sympathy for the idiots that did damage at our Capitol on Jan 6, but its very sad that this woman died that day.

Sadly that's what happened. It was a tragedy and maybe they will recoup from the government. But had a mob not broke into the capital shouting F the blue and overwhelmed the police, it would have never happened.
However, I certainly think their may be some culpability since she was shot and others weren't. If the police response was ultimately to throw their hands up and let them in in order to save their own lives and maybe others, then the same response should have been afforded her....even though the police and SS warned her to stop several times. If you were an officer in that moment and that the members lives in the chamber were at risk, you'd have to decide what your duty is. Don't think most people know what they'd do if they were that officer.

If someone is coming so me and I feel threatened and even go so far as to tell them to stop, if they don't stop I'm pulling the trigger and the law is very likely going to side with me.
