State's going after him for being law abiding and cooperating with police.

ETA: You are Black and are you going to give your young relative just learning to drive the "talk" that othe Black parents do?
In West Texas, the defense is known as "He needed killing." Credit to Mark Twain, The Tragedy of Pudd'nhead Wilson. In the county where I grew up, they went decades between murder convictions, and more often than not, the only defense was that the victim was such a lowlife that "He needed killing."aggiehawg said:Yeah, the old "so-what-if-he-did-it-the guy-deserved-it" rationale.eric76 said:Different times. A grand-uncle of mine shot and killed his son-in-law in a jewelry store in Dallas iin front of plenty of witnesses in the 1940s. He was a former FBI agent and a former Chief of Police of Dallas.
His trial in Dallas resulted in a hung jury. So they retried him in a nearby town (I think it was Kaufman). The second trial ended in a verdict of not guilty.
No idea. They don't have any cause to challenge her so would need.Mr. AGSPRT04 said:
State gonna strike her?
Agree. The two who quit this morning were pretty shaky on the fair and impartial scale. But they were also from the first few days of selection when Cahill was being more of a stickler that they had to flat out say they couldn't be impartial.Readzilla said:
Back where we started and i think the two replacements are better than the two they replaced
Serious! Wow! I'm sure the state is furious they only got 1.Mr. AGSPRT04 said:

If anything she may be the source for a hung jury if it comes to that.schwack schwack said:Quote:

Assuming Ms. AWESOME is prosecution all the way, I don't think she'll be an "influencer".
Blacks from other countries hate american blacks for being lazy and entitled. Those black immigrants appreciate the opportunity the USA affords as opposed to real oppression...which isn't getting a free handout. They are here to work and contribute.Readzilla said:
It is crazy to see the differences in culture and attitudes between actual african americans and black americans. And the fact he is questioning it pretty hard is terrible
Point being the state's ringer* attorney was stereotyping the guy because he was Black. I thought that was not only a strange (and clueless) thing to do but I can't for the life of me understand what he hoped to elicit from the juror by asking that.DuncanLEO said:Blacks from other countries hate american blacks for being lazy and entitled.
