Clark Kent has a perm?! WTF is that?

I already hate this movie.

Now wondering if Gunn is somehow trolling people he knows will get set pics.

Thats a very common haircut for a dude in his 20s right now. It looks stupid, but im also not a guy in his 20s

Exactly. Even a bit older too, as the first thing I thought of was Vampire Weekend...

I'm not the biggest fan either, but I have to say it's the best/most believable difference between Clark and Superman we've seen yet.

Other than Luthor as the villain, is there any indication of the movie plot? Because this many superheroes in one movie would suggest an opponent/plan much larger than what Luthor is more famous for in most Superman media.

So it seems this question was actually at least partially answered today, as there are spoiler-ish set pics coming out now, from the same set as yesterday, featuring what looks to be Ultraman (alongside Rick Flag Sr. and The Engineer). No idea if he's the main super-powered bad guy or not, but what we're seeing of his interactions with Superman are pretty interesting (though I won't be posting them here).

This movie is turning into an episode of Challenge of the Superfriends

Exactly. Those of you who are like WTF clearly aren't around a lot of guys in their late teens through 20's. They all have stupid haircuts. Just be glad Clark Kent doesn't sport a mullet.

A mullet would look better.

A mullet wearing Superman acting like he's not Clark Kent for 100 minutes is a movie I would love to see.

I cannot make heads or tails of this movie. The cars we've seen so far are definitely modern, and there's a plaque on a city building that says it was dedicated in 2016. But then the vast majority of these extras are giving off a distinct '70s vibe, with a couple seemingly modern wardrobes thrown in as well? Granted, this could be from some kind of flashback scene, so who knows...

It's just an indication of the impact the menswear guy on Twitter is having on style and culture.

So new set footage just dropped (which I won't be posting here) that strongly suggests not only is Krypto the dog in this, but that he does, indeed, have actual super powers.

This movie is going to be so wild.

At this point, I'm half expecting a VO during the film saying "Meanwhile, at the Legion of Doom..."

Hopefully people love Krypto as much as Groot

I was already expecting something fun, as we all know what we're getting with Gunn, but I still wasn't ready for this level of wacky. That said, the Groot (and even Rocket) comparison could end up being pretty spot on, and actually help set the proper expectations for what this will likely be, which is basically a Superman cartoon come to life, with all the heart and potential zaniness of Guardians of the Galaxy. In that sense, I'm less "worried" about the suit/tone now, and more just along for the ride.

I never thought guardians would be good when i heard there was a talking raccoon, and he managed to pull a 180 on suicide squad (imo), so I'm def in for this, even with the super dog.

The lid on that cup he's holding doesn't scream 70s to me. The ladies' jacket certainly does.

Good catch. And again, the cars are modern as well, though they could be for different scenes/time periods. Or, maybe new DCU is so just completely removed from our own universe, where it's a combination of modern tech with a retro '70s style? Super weird either way...

Not a huge fan of this kinda thing.

Someone on Twitter posted the old Superman Returns teaser trailer earlier today and I noticed the same thing. Except they went with an art deco/1930s vibe. It felt like they were paying homage to the original comics in that sense, whereas this one would be paying homage to the '70s Reeve movies, I guess?

Throw in a literal super dog, and this may REALLY feel like those old '70s cartoons.

Crazy. It's so weird that it came out a year AFTER Batman Begins too, as it also feels like it's from a completely different era.
