I think this was a pretty good season as well and am definitely excited to see if Miguel ever fights again (I'm thinking he is done which paves the way for Robby), if (when?) Robby defects from Cobra Kai, if Robby and Johnny can actually develop a relationship, how does Tory deal with Silver cheating, do they bring in a new kid from one of the new CK locations to be their male champion if Robby leaves CK, etc.. If it's going past 5 seasons, I wouldn't be surprised if there's no tournament next season (just like Season 3).

I'm surprised that Johnny screaming "QUIET!" still makes me laugh.

Wasn't the prom invite from Tory still being in HS taking Robby who is out of HS? You think he will still be competing past this season? What's the age cut off?

He got kicked out of high school. He's under -18.

My predictions:
Chozen forms new Miyagi Do since LaRusso and Lawrence lost the tournament and have to close their dojos.

Robby and Tory join new Miyagi Do after realizing how bad Cobra Kai has become.

Krease realizes how bad Cobra Kai is and he helps (consults from prison) the new Miyagi Do in order to beat Terry Silver.

They beat Terry Silver and Johnny gets his Cobra Kai back. LaRusso continues with Miyagi Do. They become friendly competitors. Everyone goes on to college or on with life...

They've got everything teed up in Season 5 to wrap this up perfectly.
I'm not saying I'm out if they draw this beyond 5 seasons because the shows are short, commercial free, and the seasons have only 10 episodes, but I'll be pretty disappointed if they screw up the good thing they've got going.

Netflix probably gets pretty good return on their investment with Cobra Kai. No big CGI budget, no need for huge fancy sets other than the tournament, actors/actresses are probably not that expensive at all. And yet it reliably becomes the #1 watched show for short periods of time.

I agree season 5 could wrap it up perfectly, but my guess is they'll continue.

I'm still confused by the Carrie Underwood appearance. It was just weird and not in a good or funny way.

Not trying to insult your KK knowledge, but for those that don't know the song was from the original movie (it was the credit roll song). I too was mid eye roll until I recognized the song, then I was OK with it.

The KK soundtrack is still a really good listen IMO!

Lol, just realized I put Matt instead of Mike. I guess that's what I get for not looking it up and going off of memory for a movie I haven't seen in probably 20 years.

This show is so damn cheesy, but I can't stop watching it.

What's the name of the song they played during the credits of the final season 4 episode?

It's cheesy but they also lean into it which makes the show much better in my opinion. They know how crazy the plotline is with teenagers having karate wars in school but they joke about it as to not take themselves too seriously, one of my favorite aspects of the show.

They're not considered "canon." It has to have Mr Myagi.

Stingray's argument with his neighbor calling it "kung fu" was pretty much a repudiation of Chan/Smith/china taking away karate from Karate Kid

I came here to tip my hat to the show for using this song. To know it, I think you'd probably have to be an 80's kid and a fan of Def Leppard's music before they got really popular.

Just catching up on S4; the hockey fight in Ep2 when they're teaching each other their own karate (Miyagi-Do vs Eagle Fang)... I busted out loud when Johnny walks up and Danny's asks him, "Where the hell were you?"

"No be there."

Great delivery Zabka, kudos!

Then Danny wanting to say something but holding back because he realized Johnny LEARNED something!
