It's a shame they didn't wrap the series sooner. The writing has become wildly lazy. There's zero tapping into the original nostalgia that got it started. Johnny still has a great line or 2 per episode but he's the only person with any clever snark. It feels like a Saved by the Bell with karate and cursing.

I literally commented "why is she running like a gimpy hobbit?" when I saw that scene. I can't envision a less athletic way of running on the beach. She should have demanded another take. That was laughably bad.
I was about to ask if this show was still dragging on. Started out good for a couple of seasons but now it has long since jumped the shark.

The later seasons definitely start slow and almost lose me, then somehow they pull it back together in the end, and I love it.Buck Turgidson said:
