I guess it could technically be ready by Thursday for a debut with the new Maze Runner movie (the only new wise release this weekend), but that would be pretty random. Instead, I'm guessing we get an online release of the trailer at some point next week, followed by an abridged version that plays with the Super Bowl that weekend.

I have a feeling "A Wrinkle in Time" is going to be overrated

We shall see. Admittedly, I have a vested interest in that movie succeeding, since I'm about to go out with a project (to sell to a studio/network) with the film's director, Ava DuVernay, attached. So I want nothing more than for that movie to be good, as the buzz would only help us. But yeah, I understand where you're coming from.

That is awesome I have a couple of friends that are trying to break into the movie business. I actually do hope the movie is successful, and it will give jobs to a lot of people which is a great thing. It is just setting off some red flags, not as much as "Ready Player One" (kinda subverting nerd culture and pandering just a bit too much and banking on nostalgia) it has Disney behind it so it will have a decent return and the special effects look marvelous.

Hereditary premiered at Sundance last week and I just keep seeing report after report of people being legit disturbed.

Yeah, I've seen a bunch of reports saying that... I'm pumped. Although not going to lie, I'm going to be somewhat apprehensive.

I typically don't see horror movies in theaters because they generally aren't well made, but this looks pretty intriguing. no dumb teenagers featured, no sick dude torturing people, no easily identifiable way to avoid the whole mess? sounds good.

Agreed. I could see a version of it being interesting where she's a little crazier and he's not complicit at all / is framed, but the fact that he's kind of into it amps up the cringe factor for sure.
