very disappointed in that trailer.

O love the series, love the cartoons series.

But after the tone of the 2nd movie, this just looks like a step back somewhat.

Yes, it has to appeal to kids, but I really loved what they did with #2.

Yeah, I'll totally go see this because of the director and because I've got some past instructors that are working on it, but at this point it doesn't seem to have the depth of the other two. Hoping that's the trailer and not the film, we'll see.

I fully acknowledge that most of that is my expectations. Where the second movie ended, with Hiccup taking over for his father and after that big fight I was looking for a bit more of a serious battle type movie. And most of this trailer is the courtship of Toothless and the light Fury.

Also we're missing a Jonsi song in the trailer so that may be impacting the vibe as well.
