Weren't the movies filmed at basically the same time? Seems like the same voice actors in each (haven't looked, but thought I saw the same names)?

I may be sober recalling a drunk conversation, but didn't they start filming one and split because they couldn't agree on the tone? The jungle book ended up being lighter to this one darker grit?
