Viola Davis was great but it still bothers me that she was nominated in this category and not Best Actress (which she also would have won in). Michelle and Naomi just didn't have a chance against her.

An hour and a half in and this is one of the least politically charged Oscars I can remember. Sure, Kimmel is dipping into that well maybe a bit too much for the jokes, but this isn't near as "bad" as anyone thought it'd be. That said, we still have a long way to go...
Is that what I wrote? You need to calm the **** down. I watch a ton of film and tv shows...probably too much.TCTTS said:Yeah, **** all these other people who work their asses off to do what they love.PatAg said:
Good to see someone who actually did something of substance with their life get an ovation.

LOL at anyone who turns off a TV show because people from Iran are not happy with a ban of people from Iran.
It's quite easy to just put it on mute for 30 seconds to a minute if the speech bothers you. That's all I do, and then check something on your computer or phone.Ol_Ag_02 said:TCTTS said:

Eh. This is the first year in a while I've seen enough of the best picture nominees to have an informed opinion, and I was truly interested in the results.
If I wanted politics I'd watch the news.
