I really liked both of those songs so much in the movie. He is a great talent, but I they sounded better with Gosling and Stone singing them..probably due to the attachment to the characters in the movie.

Two months ago she was the favorite, hands down. Now, though, I'd be shocked to see her pull it off. In fact, Huppert has a better shot at the upset, IMO. That, and Portman isn't even there. She's pregnant and about to pop any minute, so she stayed home.

I don't agree with half of these people, and find some of them just as annoying as you guys do. Still, I'm also trying to combat the ultra-cliched/stereotypical views so many here have of "Hollywood" in general.

I literally just said that I find half them annoying... aka yes, many of them are self-righteous a-holes. Other than that, I have no idea what you're talking about. But "Hollywood" is also made up of truly great people who could not care less about politics. That's the only place I'm coming from - admitting that there are plenty a-holes, but also trying to say that not everyone is like that out here. Not by a long shot.
